Reunions, Birthdays, and Friendsgivings

This morning was all about online shopping. Sissy and I used Google Hangout to shop together since buying more usually meant free shipping. We spent over and hour shopping at Ulta. Then I got changed and awaited Rosanna’s arrival.

We went to Shake Shack for a late lunch which is one of the best fast food place I’ve been to. I would definitely come back again.

We walked around and went to Sephora and the Starbucks Reserves. We didn’t order anything but went to a regular Starbucks for the buy one get one free deal.

[2018] 327/365: Rosanna Visits

We stopped by Sugarfina hoping to get some gifts for the interns but the price wasn’t worth it. Instead, we had a picture opportunity in front of the pretty wall. It was great seeing her again and hearing about her adventures and wedding plans.

We we’re soon home, chilling and shopping. Rizzo loves the media room and tends to fall asleep on the blankets.

We ordered some Thai food for Brudda’s birthday dinner.

And enjoyed a Berry Chantilly cake.

The kids all got ready and headed out to Peter’s Friendsgiving. I was expecting all Asians but was surprised to find many different ethnicities. We are still here and it is so crazy it reminds me of college parties. Luckily we had some chill catch up times and I’m able to get this post up before the night is over.

It’s been a crazy day but much appreciated. I cannot believe the weekend is here and then it’s back to work again. Whomp.

Emmy had her last nap at our house. She loves Winnie the Pooh and calls her “baby”. We had to take her up and we headed to Sissy’s and BIL’s.

[2018] 314/365: Pit Room BBQ

Mitch was visiting and to have Emmy spend a little time with Sissy and BIL before she left we decided to do a takeout order from Pit Room BBQ and meet Brudda and SIL there since they stayed at a hotel after the wedding last night.

The brisket was rhe best but Lockhart from Dallas is still one of the best BBQ places I’ve had. This place does not compare.

We bid them goodbye and we’ve all been a bit lazy since then. I am looking forward to work … kind of.

Supervisor Intern Lunch at Tejas Grill

[2018] 311/365: Tejas Grill Supervisor Intern Lunch

Prisila and I took the second set of interns to our supervisor Intern lunch. They are high school freshmen and you can see the shyness so brightly. One of the kids kept playing a game on their phone no matter how many times we said to put it away.

Overall work has been going by very fast and I mostly believe it’s because of these lunches and dinners I’ve been heading.

Tomorrow night I’ll get to see Emmy! Except I’ll be asleep but come Friday after work! I’m ready for her shining face! Eeeek!

Juhi Goes to London

I went out to lunch with some co-workers and it was paid for! Nice!! We went to Mia Bella and I had THE best make it yourself pasta. This place is pricey but it’s worth it.

[2018] 310/365: Juhi’s Goodbye Dinner

I stayed at work later than usual then headed to Sissy and BIL’s for a little bit of relaxation before making it to Juhi’s Goodbye dinner at Lupe’s Tortilla. She’s going to London for four months for work! How crazy is that?!

It was nice to see her, finally meet her boyfriend, catch up with Erin and Jade and his girlfriend and meet so many people! They are all goody and hilarious. It was great times all around!

Now it’s shower and bed time. I am so tired!

Grotto Downtown | Houston, Texas

During breakfast Justin talked about Bang energy drinks which ended us in going to the convenience store downstairs. I will say that the rainbow unicorn was delicious but it is definitely too much for someone that usually only drinks water.

[2018] 306/365: Grotto Downtown

During lunch Vicki and I went to Grotto downtown. It was a long walk but it was nice to get away from the office. Plus the decor was so adorable!! And the food was good. We even stopped by Phonecia’s on the way back and picked up some cookies for the team.

After work Scruffy and I met up to give each other our stuff back. This didn’t include gifts for one another though. And later through texts and phone calls we decided to try out being friends and see how it goes. We talked about what ifs like if one of us had a significant other and they didn’t like our friendship. We decided to cross that bridge when it happens. I also joked if he’d ever be my bridesmaids if I got married.

Mum and June got me a taro smoothie from Kim’s Teahouse and I got delivery from Panda Express. Don’t worry, I didn’t eat it all.
