[2018] 014/365: My Go-To Dinner
Pesto pasta with salad is my go-to for any dinner party. I made one with chicken and the other with tofu and it was a hit. I was surprised there wasn’t a lot left over!!

[2018] 011/365: Hazelnuts for Life
Has anyone ever sat and cracked open hazelnuts before? Ashy had loads of them and I volunteered to help since it looked fun. We had shells flying in the air from the impact. And puppies trying to eat the shells. Silly kids. What a great arm workout … but only on one side.

[2018] 010/365: Muscular Luna
Look at the muscles on this girl! She probably got that from running after balls all day erryday.
Scruffy and Luna came over today. We went for some El Jarro tacos, happy hour with Mallory and Jacob – SAKE BOMBS!!, El Pollo Loco, and Spec’s. We are now playing Mario Party.
All we did today is eat. Sigh …

[2018] 009/365: Unemployment Life
All day is spent looking and applying for jobs, watching Youtube, Netflix, or some kind of show, eat, sleep, nap, shower, clean, color, draw, etc. You get the idea.
Unemployment life isn’t so bad other than the fact that I have a cloud of fear that I won’t ever find a job.
Now, if I retired, I wouldn’t mind this life, minus the job searching. I would make time to visit and hang out with friends and family. Go to events that can get me out of the house because if I retired, I’d hope I won’t have to worry about money.
Sigh … keep your fingers crossed for me. I do miss being busy and having a plethora of things to do.

[2018] 008/365: Personal Planner Unboxing
I’ve been ordering the Erin Condren for years but with losing my job and the size of the planner didn’t seem so appealing this year. All I wanted was the same coil but smaller version in vertical layout. Maybe next year they’ll get there.
But until then, I decided to branch out to a cheaper company, Personal Planner. They estimated the arrival time to be between 2-3 weeks but I believe I got it at the end of the 2nd week. Their packaging was in a simple bubble wrap package verses Erin Condren’s box.
The contents in the box was the coiled planner, clear pocket insert, stickers, a elastic band and a chance to win a free year of Spotify.
You get to design your own cover so I did something pretty simplistic. So far so good.
They even give you a page to customize, preferably used to put your contact information in case you lose your planner. I used it as an area to put a quote.
The monthly pages was a bit weird to me since I’m used to having the column of lines on the left but it’s something I will just have to get used to.
I was able to get the vertical columns for the weekly view. Only thing is Saturday and Sunday is cut in half. I’ve realized I don’t have enough space for those days when it’s busy but I’ll try to make do. Not having the three boxes was a bit hard too but I am hoping that I can eyeball it and do the same with this new planner.
You were able to add different pages of your choosing to the back. I added an overview of 2019 which is always useful for me for future events.
I added lined pages as well since I tend to use them up towards the end of the year putting presents together and whatnot.
I ended up with a few grid pages just for variation.
So far, I am having trouble laying everything out, but I think majority of the reason is because I’m so used to Erin Condren’s layout. I’m positive it’ll get better.
The biggest complaint I have is the elastic they give you. I wish I knew that if you pick the glittery one it’ll be scratchy. Also, using the elastic puts a gap between the back cover abd the clear back cover which will also produce an indent of who knows how deep as time goes on.
I’m currently searching and hoping I can find a backup elastic and that I’ll fall in love with this planner.
