[2018] 056/365: Shrimp and Sausage Boil
I didn’t do much today. Actually this whole weekend has been pretty chill which is pretty nice. Later today I went to Scruffy’s where he cooked this scrumptious meal for us. Always the best go to meal.
[2018] 053/365: Rocky and Rizzo
Best friends. Well, uncle and nephew. hehe Rocky’s been sleeping in my bed at night which is a little weird but I guess this means he has missed me a lot since I was over at Scruffy’s for a while. Their little head tilts are the cutest.
We went to Grandma’s to wish her a new year then Scruffy and I went to his house for a bit before heading back home to spend it with little Emmy and games.
[2018] 048/365: Chinese Family Dinner
We all met up tonight for dinner at Katie’s, celebrating the new year and Timothy’s birthday, and had a crazy conversation about when Wilson and Mei Mei comes to visit.
Now we are sitting around the table for more gaming before bed.
[2018] 044/365: Simple Kimchi
I’ve been in love with making kimchi soup. Literally throw in some kimchi with some chicken broth, add ramen and protein and you’re done! Here I have deli meat and wontons. So freaking simple. So freaking delicious.
I drove early to Juhi’s after picking up my last bits for Scruffy’s Valentine’s present. I grabbed a Venti Chia Spice Latte with Iced Lemon Pound Cake to sip and nibble on while reading my Kindle waiting for her to arrive. I am almost done with this book and I don’t want it to end!!
Juhi and I had Galentine’s where we just chilled with the Olympics. She made us some chicken dumplings which was surprisingly delicious. I need to tell my people to start doing chicken instead of pork!
Guys, I had an interview today and oh my goodness. I don’t know if I can survive a two-hour round trip every day for work if I was to score this job. Especially when I wasn’t even driving during peak hours! But man would it be nice to have a job. haha
[2018] 038/365: Its Own City
And this campus is pretty nice. It’s surrounded by security at each entrance and once you get in, they have their own traffic lights and streets that are correctly labeled. Their parking lots had a light over each parking spot to note if the spot is free or not. They even have an underground walkway to get from one building to the next so that if it rained like it did today, you won’t get rained on!
The only thing I would say is that there weren’t many shops or restaurants around. I could have missed them though since I wanted to hurry home before the rush hour.
My old campus needs to be upgraded and get on their level because everything was GENIUS.
