Best Dang Lettuce Wraps

August 15, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Lettuce Wraps for Lunch

A little bit of ground chicken, mushrooms, corn, zucchini, and onions are all that makes up one of the best dang lettuce wraps ever! I’m pretty proud of myself. Now I just have to remember what condiments I put to recreate it.

[2018] 227/365: Rizzo & TVB

Rizzo has been burrowing under the covers. So adorable. I wish I knew someone else that watches TVB shows so I had someone to talk to or have marathons with. I need some Cantonese friends. Haha Someone, hook me up!

Liliana and Daniel Adventures

Green Giant Cracked Pepper Brussels Sprouts

My go to vegetable is Green Giant’s Cracked Pepper Brussels Sprouts. They’re not my favourite way to consume Brussels but it’s still delicious.

[2018] 225/365: Liliana and Daniel

I got this gem in the mail tonight. It is SO gorgeous over there! And it seems they are having a grand time. I hope I can visit them soon. There are so many people to have to visit. Sigh … Hopefully I get vacation days soon. Fingers crossed.

I have a massive headache today so it calls for relaxation and early sleeps.

2018 Wine Tasting Night

August 10, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

El Tiempo | Houston, Texas

Work flew by and I was fasting for my blood work so I was starving. I picked up BIL and Scruffy from the house and we headed to El Tiempo for dinner. Scruffy and I shared a plate since there was a wine night a couple of hours after.

Sissy and I set up everything and people started to show up.

We had numbered burlap sacks to cover up who brought what wine and score cards to keep track of our taste buds.

[2018] 222/365:

We tallied everything up and guess who won first place? Scruffy and I!

Actually to be truthful, we got second place but since the first place person brought the wrong type of wine she was automatically disqualified.

We’ve been spendinf the last few hours just talking f and such. It’s been a super fun time but I’m pooped.

Free Foods and Panda Backpack

August 9, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Free Treebeards at Work

One of the teams at work ordered way too much food so we got to grab some as well. It’s from one of my favourite downtown restaurants, Treebeards. I finally got to try their chicken, gumbo, and etouffee. The etouffee was the best out of the three but does it compare to their fried chicken? I’m not too sure. I had so much food, I couldn’t even finish it!

Ice Cream Party at Work Building

Few hours later our building had an ice cream social. I got strawberry and cookies and cream with some goodies on top just for picture purposes. I couldn’t finish this either. I’m a ome-spoon-of-ice-cream type of girl.

[2018] 221/365: Panda Backpack

Before leaving work, I saw this cute Panda backpack. We donated some money to get school supplies for kids who can’t afford it. My good deed of the day is complete.

I took a picture of this and send it to Scruffy hoping that you get me one. It’s from Target for $17! But what would I put in it? Is it frowned upon for an almost thirty year old to carry around a panda backpack like it’s their purse?

Kim’s Convenience

[2018] 219/365: Kim’s Convenience

Guys, I brought up this show on my last post and I cannot believe how much I like the show. They only have two seasons but my fingers are crossed for more.

Although I’m not Korean it’s a great feeling to see Asians on my screen, not as a crazy sidekick or a joke but as the main cast.

The show is funny and heartwarming and I wish for more shows like this. If anyone has any recommendations please share because I’m low on shows to watch.
