Busy day. Work was overwhelming satisfying. So much do to so little time. On top of that I had to go to the file storage, a two hour trip of moving boxes to find the data we needed. We stopped by McDonald’s on the way back for some sweets. I regretted it after finishing it. Wah …

[2018] 256/365: Celebratory Hot Pot

Scruffy and I went to Little Sheep Hot Pot for dinner to celebrate him signing another new hire. We feasted and didn’t stuff ourselves! Then he took me home and kidnapped Rizzo for the night.

[2018] 255/365: Treebeards with Mallory

The little lady had Jury Duty this morning and I was lucky enough to eat lunch with her, something we never have a chance to do! She got off early, walked to where I worked and we walked through the tunnels and landed at Treebeards. She regretted getting chili and a salad when she tasted my chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and corn. I gladly shared some with her though. We had a nice conversation and she was happy to not be eating a school lunch, though she had to pay, and that she got to enjoy it because JJ wasn’t running around or crying. It was nice to have that moment with her and seeing her twice in one week was a big plus.

Can more people visit me during work hours for lunch? It was nice to get away from all the work and work people.

The flyers are up and people have been dropping in their caps. I put one on every floor but I’m not sure how active people would be.

Also not sure how true this is but we are believing what we hear and if all else fails it can be recycled.

[2018] 254/365: Free Flu Shots

We got free flu shots today. I had to pay for mine last year so this was a lovely benefit. It hasn’t hurt yet but I’m waiting patiently for the soreness.

Fingers crossed I don’t get sick from the shot.

After work was Mallory and JJ time. We ordered food from someplace. We both got pasta and pizzettas combo for $14. Pizzetta was pretty much just an 8-inch pizza. Not a bad deal. Their pizza is pretty good but they could use some work on their pasta. This boy loved playing with the Roomba and chased it a lot which gave Mallory and me more time to catch up.

[2018] 253/365: Back In My Element

I miss being in school when I’d be in organizations and make flyers and invitations and stuff so I was excited to throw something together. This isn’t anything fancy. I just needed to slap on some information for cancer so it’s not my best work, but enough to get the message through.

Mallory asked if I’d make JJ’s birthday invitations which, duh, I definitely will! I’m excited. I also said I’ll take a shot at making him a shirt to wear for the party but, we’ll have to see how everything turns out first with the invitation and time.
