A busy workday where I was able to solve big issues myself made today a pretty awesome day. Cherry on top was having lunch with Pardeis who gives great advice. I wonder how life would have been like if we were closer during college. I’m glad we bumped into each other again and slowly getting to know one another again. She is a ray of sunbeam to be around.

Second day of workout went really well. Still no collarbone pain and Rizzo felt comfortable today to fall asleep. Yesterday he was on high alert unsure what was going on. I’m sore all over and I love it so much. I’ve missed this feeling. Collarbone, I hope you’ve fully healed!

Emmy and I had a good hour and a half sing a long with my guitar. I’ve added in other songs to the ones she’s used to and she dances and sings along best she can. She loves sticking her face in mine to watch me sing. She’s so freaking adorable. Soon enough she’s not going to want to do this so I’m trying to take in as much as I can.

I’m upgrading! I know what you’re thinking. I just got my iPad last year so what am I doing with a new one. Well, I used to have a mini and loved the size. They finally came out with a mini that can use the Apple Pencil and with the traveling I’ve been doing inside and outside of Houston it’s just easier. I was going to trade it in but Mum wanted my old one so now I have something new to teach her. I’m also loving the paper-like screen protector. It makes all the difference when writing and drawing.

As of this afternoon, Emmy is back in our lives in Houston. She’s been calling me Auntie in Chinese nonstop and it’s the cutest thing ever. I really wished she lived closer so I had more time with her but I guess with the distance it makes you really cherish the moments you have together.

After work I went and got a reflexology massage. It was a pretty great price. An hour for $35! The only complaint I have is that people were fixing the roof so sometimes it was too loud but I was still relaxed to where I dozed off. There are a few more places I want to try out as there are a lot!

This morning I saw that there was free delivery fee for Tiff’s Treats. Since Sissy and BIL are having wine tasting tonight I decided to ship her some. I got a Tiffblitz for myself since I’ve always wanted to try it. It is vanilla ice cream with chocolate chip and brownie bits inside. Crumbled cookies are drizzled on top. It was surprisingly delicious but it’s also probably because I was hungry.

Wine tasting kicked off with Sissy’s old high school friends and their significant others along with a dude who was solo.

After going through five tastings we announced the winner. And it was ME! I ended up winning a prize and since then we’ve been talking about random things and just hanging out.

I’m ready to head home to bed but also too lazy to drive just yet. Tomorrow’s going to be amazing. First Houston Restaurant Week for the year. Esp!

Delisha was sweet enough to bring me lunch today. Her homemade chicken and pasta type dish. It was very delicious and was so freaking full afterward. Perfection.

I had lunch with Juhi, Christopher, and Amelia outside. The weather was so perfect as long as we were in the shade. It was nice to get away from the desk and to get some vitamin c as well.

There was a three-week Salesforce competition and I was one of the winners! I got an Astro stuffed animal along with some stickers of Astro wearing our company’s logo.

I also got a Salesforce branded Thumpah™ Water Resistant Bluetooth Speaker by Origaudio. I looked it up and it’s expensive. Click here to see more specs. I wonder how much it costs to get the Salesforce logo printed on there. The speaker itself is pretty amazing. Fast connectivity, 3 sound adjustment mode (standard, more base, more treble), clear, quality sound even when I’m far away. I wish they made a case for it. It would be perfect if they had that as well.

It’s almost the weekend. Super busy but excited I get to see so many people lately.

A couple of weeks ago, as I was leaving work, I saw a familiar face walking towards the car park. I had to look her up to see if what I saw was real. I reached out to her and we set up a lunch date for today. Another reunion with an old college friend whom I haven’t seen in over 10 years.

It’s crazy how big the world is but also how small it can be sometimes. We caught up as much as we could cram in a one-hour time frame. She’s a lawyer now, recent newlywed, and just moved back from DC and works at the same campus as me!

I’ve always been hesitant to reach out to others or ask them to hang out because I always fear I’m bothering them. Or if they say no or ignore me enough times, I’ll stop reaching out. I told her about my hesitance and she said she was grateful I reached out because if she’d seen me, she would have too.

I’m not sure where this reunion will take us but it’s always nice to be able to start up right where we left off.
