Happy Weekend!

Oh … hello, September. You snuck up on me! Life seems to go by faster without school semester breakdowns. Rawr!

I know I haven’t been updating. Let’s blame that on work. Having overtime is nice though. Hello, extra cash flow!

More cash flow to shop. I never go on a full on shopping spree (shopping can be boring) but last Friday I took advantage of zero crowds at the outlet mall. Got my shopping done in less than 2 hours. 4 cardigans from the Gap, a flowered tank top from White House Black Market, and 6 various tops from the Loft.

Baked these babies Monday for Monica but …

I dreamt about him Monday night. Every cell in my body knew it was a lie. How could he have written me a song, recorded it, and sang it to me? Not possible. And if I remember his singing … haha Isn’t it weird how your brain can stop thinking about someone and then all of a sudden bring you back to them? The thoughts of him made me so confuzzled, I forgot the cupcakes and muffins I made …

So Mum took them to work.

So I made new cupcakes and muffins Tuesday night. Different recipe and SO much better than the last.

Received a free 1/2 gallon Coleman jug at work. We were to drink a certain amount of water and well … I drank more than I needed to and won a little gift! They had a choice of Red, Blue, or Grey. I obviously chose the less flashy one. Plus I think it looks silver … so much more classy. Can’t wait to put it in use.

I took tomorrow off from work … what to do … what to do. Hmm …

Friday is finally here. That means right now I’m out … shopping. Labor Day Sale at the Outlets! And on an early Friday morning? That means NO CROWDS … hopefully.

Love having some Friday’s off. It’s been a long week. Surprisingly things went well at work. Not too much was going on. But for some strange reason I feel drained.

Everyone and their mums are getting engaged. WHAT IS GOING ON?! I feel so behind the curve. Grandma told me to stop playing around and find a guy. Seriously? Obviously she doesn’t know how hard it is to even meet a friend when you graduate from college.

Congratulations to Wacko and Monica nonetheless!

Wednesday’s dinner. SO FREAKING GOOD. Forgot how much I love portobellos. Thank you Kenny & Cindy for leaving and dropping these off! Cracked an egg and put in a little bit of mozzarella in the cap. Baked with some broccoli. Simple and easy meal! DONE!

Thursday (yesterday) was Samantha’s birthday so I bought her cupcakes (on the left)!! And got some more for June’s birthday that’s TODAY! All from Small Cakes.

For Samantha’s birthday, we celebrated at Carrabba’s with her brother, Cal, and Mallory. The weirdest thing to me was that Cal paid for everyone’s dinner. I’m not use to that so it kinda made me uncomfortable. Hopefully that’s a one time thing because it’s Samantha’s birthday.

No lies when I say I’ve been swamped and haven’t read any new posts since I put up the last one. Been cleaning my room. Once a year clean is a great idea since things accumulate and lose value as time goes on. Hello less clutter!! Cannot wait to buy a dresser or something so I can put everything together!

August 20th :: Jenny and I went to a painting class and met some awesome ladies. We have plans to paint again. Yay!

August 21st :: Company Happy Hour. Apparently it was blue green day. Someone didn’t get the memo.

I shared it with the family and the little cake ball was for a coworker. Oreo Cakeball. Red Velvet Cupcake. Lemon Cupcake. Black Forest Cupcake. If there’s one by you, go go go! You’ll love it. He’s been on the Food Network because of his cupcakes and he has a cupcakery everywhere! Best cupcakes I’ve ever had. EVER.

August 24th :: Went out with coworkers and their family. I was the 9th wheel but it wasn’t bad. The last picture was just a small group of us but random people yelled photobombed and jumped in. Hilarious.

August 25th :: Haven’t Pho’d in so long. So good.

Three more days of work before a 4 day work week. Wish it was like this ALL the time!

I’ve gotten to cuddle with this little baby all week since brother’s home. One more week till I have to say goodbye to him. Wah!

With my brother home, we’ve been cleaning and look what I found! So so so old. When we use to make up names for our group of people. When I use to have a huge crush on Wizzle. When we would hang out at Alyssa’s house. Oh how time flies. I miss those days. Always sad to see the falling outs. If I could go back to change things, I would.

On Friday, I had the chance to see Josh Abbott Band live!!

Samantha and I’s 1 year Friendiversary is coming up in September. Seems like I’ve known her forever, yet I learn something new about her every time we interact.

Mallory and I’s 10 year Friendiversary is this year. Crazy how I’ve known her forever. Almost half my life. When we were in our awkward phase – but we’re still kind of awkward …

Tomorrow is work .. which I am not looking forward to. But hello 4 day work week. Eeps. Cannot wait. Tammy’s coming into town as well!
