I Love Kicking Balls

Actually that is false. I’m the worst soccer player ever. Just had our first FTK Co-Rec Outdoor Soccer Game. I was horrible but we won. Open-mouthed smile

Had to forfeit FSA Women’s Basketball. I’m pissed. FSA Men’s Outdoor Soccer lost. I’m pissed. FTK Men’s Outdoor Soccer lost. I’m pissed.

They did their best though so I’m not really pissed. If anything I’m proud of them. Yellow cards were thrown everywhere. Love when things get steamy between guys .. in the I-want-to-fight-you sort of way.

Speaking of steamy, it was so cold outside this guy was steaming like he was on fire because he was so hot from playing soccer. It was kind of cool.

I’ve had my workout for the past four days and it’s not over since tomorrow’s the FSA Co-Rec Basketball Game.

That means staying in school all day tomorrow. Two meetings, a letter writing campaign, and a game.

Bleugh. I just checked my schedule and I’m busy pretty much the rest of the month. Kill me now …

Feeling Like Crap

But I still went out and RAN!

Okay I lied. More like got off my butt, ran and walked.

Better than nothing right?

I did 1.15 mi. with a super horrible time.

Things I learned/realized while running:

  • Never throw away everything you did in the summer training to run a 5k; it is always harder to get back on track.
  • My fracture is still there … whoops. Oh well.
  • If I motivate myself with some things (that I will not share), I can make it through.
  • I have less than 5 months to whip myself into shape.
  • Over all, I’m doing this for myself, but if it wasn’t for the promise I made on my blog that I will strap on my running shoes today, I never would have done so.
  • Also, I was thinking of Rachael all this time and didn’t want to disappoint her. Ever since college started again, I blogged way less than I use to but I know she’s always there reading (hopefully) and encouraging me. Thanks chica!

I did a lot of Christmas shopping and helped my mum find presents for people as well.

I stumbled on this baby at TJ Maxx. Yes it’s Jillian Michaels and I loathe her but there are exercise cards, circuit training cards and training technique cards inside.

I realized these makes me workout more than videos do. I am not sure why.

Maybe because I don’t have to listen to her voice …

Anyway, I am thinking of doing them on my off days from running.

Let’s see how that goes.

Let’s see how long it’ll take till I fall of the bandwagon again.

Hopefully, never.

I Fail Everything

So … I haven’t been doing 30 Day Shred. I did like four days and stopped. I have failed.

But on a happier note, I’ve noticed I’m quicker when playing flag football. Running every other day this past summer definitely helped. I just wished I was still able to run. Time and it being unsafe (my mum’s words) has made running hard.

These are excuses, I know. But I am still active so that’s better than nothing.

Did I lose 5lbs?

Why am I asking? Well …

I did the second day of 30 Day Shred. Level 1, of course, this morning. TIRING.

Then in the afternoon I had a 2 hour football practice with FSA in the blazing sun. One of the girls accidentally hit me in the head with the football. Then I jammed my knuckle area on my pinky while catching a football.

And I just got done playing a in-door soccer game with FTK tonight. I accidentally knocked down a girl. Whoops.

So you see … I just had to have lost some weight.

But I highly doubt it. Life doesn’t work that way.

Last night I got to finally use my popcorn maker with Jenny and Tammy!

We used olive oil because we didn’t have any other oil. Luckily, I bought spices so we used those. Now we’re thinking of getting butter oil. Then it would REALLY taste like the theater. We figure we would buy that when we are pros at this.

So for the time being, it’s very healthy!

Football and Boo-Boos

I was active today!!

It was beautiful outside! Hot weather but with wonderful little blows of wind.

Since I haven’t found a safe trail, the only other way to get running in is by playing football with FSA for fun!!

I got boo-boos to prove it. It’s on my calf. The field we play on has rocks … yeah we’re smart.

It stings a lot.

Oh and one of the guys rammed into my heart and I couldn’t breathe for a good minute or so. Afterward I kept heaving until one of the other guys taught me how to get my breath back. So yeah … I got the wind knocked out of me.

I’m happy to say this summer of running really helped me. I usually can’t breathe and get super tired after a few minutes into football. Today I was fine. No heaving or trying to catch my breathe (except for when I got rammed into) and I wasn’t tired. Or maybe because we weren’t running as much. Maybe once basketball starts, it’s going to kick me in the butt.

After that me and a few went to McDonald’s. Yuck. I was hoping we wouldn’t end up at a fast food place but that’s what they wanted.

I ate, hung out with them peeps at McDonald’s, dropped someone off, then went home and showered. A nice and long needed shower. It was hard with those scratches.

Since then, I haven’t done anything but listen to music and play my guitar.

I should really be studying.

Oh did I mention I have a package at the front office? I received it on Saturday but I wasn’t home to get it. I was aiming for today but forgot that it’s Labor Day so no package in my hands yet. I’ll let you know what it is tomorrow when I get it!Open-mouthed smile
