[2018] 271/365: Rizzo at the Vet
Look at this cutie!
I got my car back and everything seems to be working. Fingers crossed nothing else happens because I’m tired of not having my car.
Afterwards I took Rizzo to the vet. He did an amazing job. No cries or whines or growls. I also bumped into Wacko and Zuco’s sister. Apparently she works there! What a small world.
Scruffy and Luna came over for dinner and now we went to HEB and at the drive thru for Whataburger for Scruffy. Haha
Work went by like a breeze! I was so busy but I was looking forward to some fun time. Two of the ladies on our team are leaving and we had a small happy hour at the High and Dry Rum Bar to celebrate them. I went with the old fashioned since Scruffy likes that drink and it was all I know. It was actually pretty smooth and people were impressed that I ordered it. One of the girls ordered a fire drink! How cool is that?!
I’ve never been in this area downtown at night and it was like a dream. Lights, bright. Bars everywhere. This is exactly what I dreamed of as a little girl. Working downtown, walking down the streets late at night with some cool people. Reminds me of Hong Kong too.
[2018] 270/365: Being Famcy
A few of us decided to go to dinner. We were going to go to Bombay Pizza but as we walked we changed to being fancy ending up at Morton’s Steakhouse. I was shocked at the prices but I figure to just let it go and order a steak. Everything else was shared with others. Delicious food and amazing conversations.
It was nice to get out and meet others on the team as well. I learned so much about everyone. I usually stay tied to my desk so although dinner was costly, I’m happy I went.
[2018] 269/365: You’re My Squishy
I found Rizzo like this … Squished between some pillows in bed. It seems as if this is his new favourite spot.
I spent over an hour at the car shop. I realized Monday, after work, my rear windows didn’t work unless I used the controls from the back … But only to let them down. Yep! Especially during rainy season. Perfect, right? They weren’t able to figure it out so they’re going to take it down the street and hopefully they fix it fast. Sigh … I just want my car back!
[2018] 268/365: Moto Minute
One of the managers at my job sends some of us motivational Tuesday quotes. Today resonates so perfectly for everything that’s happened since I started at my new job.
One person can ruin my day but I’ve always tried to not show my weak. This lady at work tries to keep tearing me down and I just smile and try to be as polite as I possibly can and laugh and have fun while I’m with others. She sees it and I know it annoys her. #missionaccomplished

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
We had a grand dinner and enjoyed some moon cake afterward. This moon cake was one of the best because there’s no egg yolk which is also the reason some of my family members were sad about.
