Eventful Start of the New Year

Hola lovelies! Time to update you on what’s been going on since I last posted!

January 2nd

Pinot’s Palette with Mallory & Samantha. Nothing like the original but I still love it!

This is also the day were Rizzo got knocked over mid poop because of the wind. TMI, I know.

January 3rd

Made my last payment for my six school loans! Took me a year and a month! Debt free!!

January 4th

Celebrated by Hot Pot! Now I just want to buy every thing. Yikes!

January 5th

Got to see Leah M. when she came into town to visit Mallory and John! This makes it the 3rd time we’ve met/seen each other. Weird how you can still talk to someone like they never left when you just met them!

Ordered an Asus Transformer Pad! It’s a cheap tablet so hopefully it holds up!

January 7th

Taste of Texas to say goodbye to Andrew D. & Carla A. who are moving to Seattle. And to Christopher D. who’s moving to Hawaii. I probably won’t ever see them again so I made an effort to go no matter how gross I felt from a long day at work. You can totally see it in the picture. Can’t believe I’m putting it online …

January 8th

When everyone’s ideas come together and become something that will help the future of your company. Work high! And it didn’t stop there. Worked on Mallory & John’s “Save the Dates” and didn’t even realize the time! When you’re having fun, time sure flies!

January 9th

My tablet arrived! But am waiting it to charge before I play with it! So excited! Also took Rizzo to Mallory’s house. Mallory & John got a new puppy, Lacy, and we wanted them to be best friends! Samantha was there as well and we all ate dinner and watched reality telly together while the pups played. Rizzo is knocked out now. Thanks, Lacy!\

Now it’s time for me to unwind and sleep.

Debt Free

As of January 3, 2014 10pm I am finally debt free! I made my last payment. All six loans are paid off. All that’s left is my confirmation letter for the last one and it’ll feel much more real. Then I went crazy and started organizing my bills, work things, etc. Filed everything away the best again.

We relaxed today as celebration by cuddling with Rizzo … the best anyone can cuddle with a teeny tiny dog.

We ordered pizza for lunch. Deep dish filled with veggies and hot pot for dinner.

Now that I am debt free, I want to buy every single thing in the world! In the market for a new laptop and tablet. Yep … but I need money first.

Super short post. I just really wanted to document that I succeeded all by myself.

New Year, 3rd Blogoversary

One post in December. ONE. I’ve been busy living life and not worry about having to update, read blogs, nor comment. No fault in that right? Plus, Rizzo has been a full time job!

As always, new year means a recap so let’s get to it!

January

Reunion with Joanne. Love this girl!
New Orleans for my 1st business trip and all I wrote about was the delicious food I ate. YUM.
First wine tasting with Mallory, Lauren, and Samantha. Fun and memorable experience!

February

Two lovebirds got married. Sadly they got divorced as well. But it was gorgeous while it lasted and was great seeing old acquaintances. Also the post where Mallory, Samantha, and I called ourselves The Powerpuff Girls.
1/2 year mark of starting my big girl job.
Chris Cagle Concert.
Chinese New Year. Year of the Snake.
Lufkin to visit Michelle. I never see her and I miss her so much. Wish we never grew up so that all my friends were in one location.
Liebster Award.

Painting owls with Mallory and Samantha.
The time I talked about having Zuco in my life at work. She’s made work a little more fun and because of her, able to open up more at work. Thanks, Zuco thought you probably won’t read this.

March

First Green Beer!
The cowboy with the unproportional body but gorgeous face.
Got my eyebrows done for the first time. Big accomplishment. haha

April

2013 FTK Dance Marathon. 18 hours of standing. I rather work it than “dance” it.

1st time setting foot in Cloud Cafe. And that little laptop I bought last year is no longer alive. Wahhh time for a new one!
Walk With Me 5k.

May

One of the best birthdays to date. Love my family and friends! Just a few of those friends.
Sissy and BIL got married!

June

Wade Bowen!

Attempted to teach Sissy the guitar.
Taught Rose’s little daughters how to bake!

July

Self hosted and changed my blog name from Mouthwatering Morsel to Al Forno Mementos.
Officially owned one whole set of a television series. ONE TREE HILL. DURH!

August

Joined the Ray-Ban Club. Polarized and all. Never going back.
One year at my big girl job.

September

Finally watched Harry Potter series. I was missing out for sho.
Graphic Designed some things for money!

Always thankful to be able to have a chance to hold a little life in my hands.

October

Oregon with Mum to visit Sissy and BIL! Day 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5!
One of my dear old friend got engaged and I made an Engagement “Basket” for her! Wedding is set for May 2014! I cannot wait!

November

Probably my only deep post and it’s all about Finding My Balance. One of the reasons I stepped away from blogging for a little while.

December

Rizzo came into my life. Probably the only thing worth mentioning for December!
I did go to Austin and ate at some restaurants which I hope to post about in the near, near future. Also got to go to Happy Hour and dinner on the 30th with Mallory, Lauren, Jared, and Stephen. Always great company.

Let’s see what 2014 brings! 🙂

2014 New Year Resolutions

2013 New Year Resolution Recap:

Lose 25+ lbs or at least some weight.

Lost 11 lbs and counting!

Live healthier. Eating …. working out. Yah know. Same old same old.

Right on track. Though the working out got slacked when Rizzo came into my life.

PR on my 5k even if it is just one minute.

Nope.

Be a better blogger by not slacking off as much and reaching out more.

Committed by getting my own domain and changing my blog up. Decided to let got for a bit because I was too consumed. I hope now that it’s a new year, I’ll be back and at ‘em.

Dress better because I look like a grandma when I’m at work.

Getting better … takes time!

Hello over humongous pores! I need to better my skin routine.

Slowly … so so slowly.

As much as I love being one of the guys I love being a girl. I just have to be less lazy and just be more like a girl.

Still waiting for the girl to come out.

So now we move on to 2014 Resolutions.

Continue to lose weight.
Never give up on blogging.
Volunteer more.
Stay in touch with friends. Especially those getting married.
Cross a few more things off my Bucket List!

I’m not sure what else. Making resolutions are getting harder as you get older.
