[2018] 120/365: Rizzo and Chew
How adorable is he with his chew? It was a big giant square and he always likes to whittle it into a circle. He chewed on that thing for over 5 hours with breaks.
Great news, lovelies! I have officially accepted an offer for a new job starting next week. It’s another oil and gas company located downtown which means I get to live that tunnel life. I’m excited to see what this new chapter brings!
Scruffy, Ashy, and I ordered food from Pho Ben. We definitely had a lot of leftovers and I’m excited to have them tomorrow! The rest of the day Scruffy and I passed the IPad back and forth playing Star Realms (I keep losing) and shopping and watching random telly.
[2018] 119/365: Libyan Couscous
Jamie made her famous Libyan Couscous dish. I’m hoping I get the recipe soon because it was delicious! You could make it with other grains other than couscous! That lamb hit the spot, especially the bone marrow. DROOL.
[2018] 118/365: Bruises
Scruffy got mad and abused me. Look at my bruises! haha Just kidding. He had minor surgery today so he wasn’t put to sleep. I had the pleasure of having my hand squeezed everything he was in pain and the result is what you see above. I never knew that a few hard squeezes can turn to that.
Jamie and Ashy drove us home and they went out to get his prescription and lunch. A delicious strawberry milkshake for me, please! We watched random telly and Ant-Man.
Dinner of chicken pesto pasta and salad made by his parents always hits the spot.
Currently playing Star Realms on the IPad to pass the time before we call it a night.
A simple spam, egg and cheese sandwich because we didn’t have much food in the fridge. I’ve never been a big fan of sandwiches, bread in general but this was the bomb.
I prepped dinner and Scruffy was going to do the cooking but since he wasn’t feeling too well, I stepped up. I’ve never had to do the boiling part for shrimp or crawfish boils so …

… I was a little skeptical when it came to doing the boiling since it has to come out a certain way for every single thing. I will say that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and am happy the presentation looks pretty great as well.
[2018] 116/365: Pretty Smoothie Bowl
Guys … this is the prettiest smoothie bowl I’ve ever made! That gorgeous blue/purple colour from the frozen blueberries make my heart smile.
I gave Rizzo a haircut while we were getting new doors put in. He’s such a great pup. He sits so patiently while I cut his hair or clean his ears. My baby!
When Mum and June got home, we changed and headed to dinner. We stopped by Alameda Meat Market for some beer since the dinner place is BYOB but when June and I saw the chicharrones we had to get some.
Once we got to Cravin’ Cajun we put our order in and feasted! Etouffee, pounds of crawfish and shrimps. We even ordered extra and … kind of regretted afterwards because it was definitely too much food.
