Aloha, Snow Cones

June 19, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

2018 | 170/365 | Yeti Sunshine Snow Cones at Work

[2018] 170/365: Snow Cones at Work

Aloha, my lovelies! Today was yet another wonderful day. I loved that I had snow cones to look forward to all day. They hired Yeti Sunshine to serve us naturally organic snow cones. Pretty much, instead of syrup, they use fruit juice! I got the watermelon and strawberry. The strawberry was meh but overall, it wasn’t bad. I wouldn’t pay for it myself though.

Dinner at Scruffy's

After work, I stopped by Sissy and BILs to pick up something before heading over to Scruffy’s for dinner. We all pitched in to make dinner and it came out delicious! I wished we had more greens on the table though.

I started Grey’s Anatomy Season 14 yesterday and I’m already on the fifteenth episode! It’s comforting knowing that they’re still running after so many years. I’m going to enjoy a few more episodes before bed. Night, everyone!

I Need A Friend

2018 | 169/365 | Potbelly Lunch

[2018] 169/365: Potbelly Lunch

Work was pretty great. A lot of people were at meetings all day so I had time to get a lot of work done. I love that feeiling. I worked so hard I forgot to grab lunch. I ended up going for Potbelly. It’s Scruffy’s favorite place because he loves the pizza sandwich they have so I figured I’d try it again. I opted for the tuna sandwich and a cheddar broccoli soup. The soup was out of this world but I could feel the fatness just drowning my insides. I would get it again though because it was the bomb.

I really need to venture out because I am always uncertain where to go when I forget my food and I’m tired of eating at the same places. Sigh … I need a friend downtown. Are you down to being my friend? Need not apply, just come on down.

2018 Ashy’s Father’s Day

June 17, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

2018 | 168/365 | Happy Father’s Day, Ashy!

[2018] | 168/365: Ashy’s Father’s Day

Scruffy and I woke up this morning in a hurry to leave my house. Apparently Rami, Caitlin and Peyton were there since forever in the morning with breakfast to surprise Ashy.

They didn’t really share their plans with us so we were banking more for dinner. Nonetheless we made it in time to spend a few hours with them before they left. We ate some of the breakfast They brought and we even ordered Chinese food for lunch.

Japanese Style Hotpot

Soon enough I was on my merry way back home 5o have dinner with my own father. We mostly chowed down with yesterday’s leftovers and did it Japenese style.

I’m so pooped. I am still looking forward to a plan free weekend. It’s been too busy since I got this job. Sigh … I really wished I lived closer to work.

2018 Happy Father’s Day

The Champions of Midgard Board Game

Today Sissy and BIL came over to celebrate Father’s Day early. We played The Champions of Midgard which took forever. It’s a fun game but super annoying that we have so many little pieces to set up and tear down.

2018 | 167/365 | Hot Pot for Father’s Day

[2018] 167/365: Father’s Day Hot Pot

We had hot pot and was super surprised that we ate majority veggies and left so much other things. That’s very rare but I guess everyone is trying to be healthy which is good.

We are now playing other games while I’m slow,y falling into a food coma. Night, everyone!

EID Mubarak!!

June 15, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

End of Ramadan | Eid Mubarak

Today marks the end of Ramadan or as they would say, EID Mubarak! We celebrated by going to Camilla’s house for some light snacks. Jamie made a tomato sauce with egg type thing that you dip with bread. The other crazy looking thing is like a funnel cake but much oilier. They love their carbs! haha

Jarro Cafe Tacos

We then went to the Jarro Cafe. It’s been forever and we were bummed when we found out they were all out of pastor. We ended up getting three tacos total, one for each of us and sharing the last one. Yum. I wish they were closer to my house!

2018 | 166/365 | Cravin' Cajun Date with Scruffy

[2018] 166/365:

We went back to my place, lazed around and headed to 99 Ranch Market before eating dinner at Cravin’ Cajun. I was shocked when Scruffy said he craved it so I agreed to it without hesitation. We ended up order four pounds of crawfish, one pound of shrimp, two corns, and A LOT of potatoes.

It’s been a great day. I really do miss having every other Friday off. It really puts into perspective how much I actually got done not having to work those two Fridays a month. Now to relax for the rest of the weekend.
