[2018] 180/365: Luna and Rizzo Cuddles

After work today I arrived at Scruffy’s and I was able to get in some cuddles with Luna and Rizzo. Some alone time where I watched YouTube videos and played my games.

I made the veggies while Scruffy made the fried chicken – from scratch. And it tasted on point! Until the fryer broke resulting in some pieces not getting that second fry. The Brussels sprouts were pungent In a not so good way that we chucked them. They were bad but Ashy thought it was still good so we continued making them … good thing he realized after the bake, just how horrible they were. Scruffy’s conclusion is that he’d rather go and buy the dang chicken next time and that it wasn’t worth the time it took to make it. I disagree because I liked his more that other fried places but oh well.

[2018] 179/365: Sequence Board Game

Scruffy came over with Luna after work to have dinner with me and my family. After going to the pet store and Wal-Mart we headed home to play Sequence with Mum. She rarely plays games with us so it was a big win.

Scruffy took Rizzo home with him so it’ll be a night without my baby. But that also means not having to take him out in the morning. Yay!

JJ and I’s First Time at Chuck E. Cheese

After work I met up with Mallory and JJ at Chuck E. Cheese. I’ve never been here before so I didn’t know what to expect. But I did expect the mouse to be creepy x1000 (picture above of statue for proof). Surprisingly the costume looked normal and wasn’t as scary but the girls who were in the suit were super lazy to say the least. The kids like it regardless since they make it rain tickets.

Mallory and I each got pizza and beer, water for JJ. I did expect the pizza to be killer since Scruffy raved about it before and it was! I was extremely surprised. The bottom was crispy but it was still thick enough and the crust tasted like garlic butter. I want to pop out a kid just to get this again. I’m sure they have rules where you don’t need to have a kid if you’re just getting pizza, right?

[2018] 178/365: JJ and His Pizza

This is my favourite picture of JJ. He was walking, pizza in hand taking little bites. It was the cutest thing ever. When he got all into the games he handed me his pizza like, “hold this while I play”.

Mal and I entertained him with games. He loves anything with buttons but was especially enamored with the soccer one where a coin drops out. He picks it up and we roll the coin in where tickets come out. He loved ripping the tickets out and handing it to me. So cute.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen them and he’s grown so much. Sigh, makes me miss my niece and wish she was closer.

Another Sick Day

Delicious pesto pasta with a sunnyside egg for lunch. #winning Not really … I had to be home again since the stomach isn’t 100%. It’s not all the way okay but I need to go in tomorrow. Wahh … Anyway doesn’t the face look like a face?

Rizzo did well with his heart shaped treat on his back. I’m surprised! He’s definitely not like Rocky and Luna. They usually move when I do this. He waited till I said okay. So good.

A Better World Begins With You

Work went pretty well this morning. My breakfast buddy was back from his vacation so we went and grabbed our usual free Monday breakfast. Today we had breakfast tacos and he talked about things that went wrong on his trip and I talked about buying houses. I’m always looking to buy a place for myself but have never found the perfect one which I know is not possible but a girl likes to dream. Until then I’ll be saving up money and living at home with the parents the Asian way.

Anyway, something happened to my stomach. It felt like someone punched me there and made me super nauseous. I suggested to go home and if my boss wanted, I could work from home. Instead she told me to take the day off and I pretty much just had hot flashes, laid in bed or was in the restroom if you know what I mean.

This quote popped up while I was on “bed rest”. It’s something that resonates with me and something I try very hard to carry out because it’s something I truly believe in. A better world begins with you.
