a lot of stuff at work “broke” today but I still got to sneak away for some baby time. Say hi to Mara. Lia was in town visiting and she made a stop at work so everyone can meet the little one. I did have the pleasure of holding her while she got the baby bottle ready. She’s so light! But I didn’t have the pleasure of getting a picture so all I have is when Michael was holding her.

After work was Mallory’s. I haven’t seen her in a while so we planned to order food from UberEats. We’re not too certain what happened but our food got cancelled and we ended up having spaghetti instead which I was okay with since it’s been awhile.

I even got fed a bottle of wine which made for a very tipsy me. That’s what happens when you drink with a mama who’s breastfeeding.

I even got in some Jacob cuddles. He was getting fussy since he was getting hungry but he stayed still enough for this photo to be snapped. He’s still itty bitty but I can tell how much JJ loves him and it melts my heart.

After I got over the alcohol, or most of it, I left and went home in time to play with Emmy. She has a bit of an OCD issue as you can see in the picture. Hopefully some sticks and some doesn’t. I’m fine when it’s a organization type of thing but when it’s the fact she doesn’t get it her way the right way, I’m fine with that going away.

One more work day and a mentor session until the weekend!

Work went by so slowly today. I’m not too certain what was going on other than I just wanted to leave. Luckily I had something to look forward to. Happy hour with Delisha. Saltgrass doesn’t have happy hour though so when we saw the bill we said we can’t come here anymore. We had so much left over as well. We’ve had deep conversations on Friday and Monday and still had so much to talk to today. Thankful for her.

I came home to Emmy wanting some of my left over steak to hanging out with her until I put her to bed. I posted her holding my finger yesterday and David asked if I had a baby. I tend to keep my distance when a guy friend of mine gets a girlfriend because I’ve dealt with jealous girlfriends before so I didn’t realized how long it’s been since I last saw him. It’s crazy how time flies. Sadly he will be in drill the weekend I’ll be in town but hoping he and I get to catch up in person soon.

Two more days until the weekend. I got this!

Separately of course because all three of us together would be nonsense.

London and I caught up for almost 7 hours. We talked a lot of different gibberish nonsense. His sister is about to have a boy as well and he’s excited to be an uncle again. It’s crazy how everyone is having boys this year!

We went on Reddit and I read off topics to where we’d both answer truthfully. It’s crazy what you find out there. The questions people ask but above all, the responses. Some of them are pretty surprising but so true.

Emmy saw my nails were coloured so she went and got hers done as well. Play-Doh coloured of course. Tell her it looks pretty because she worked hard on it.

We watched some Halloween spookies. She thought it was grand to sit on me like Rizzo tends to. Thank goodness she still weighs nothing else I wouldn’t be able to breathe.

We even had colouring time. Mostly scribbles. She even got mad I was cleaning up because she wanted to do it.

I’m.not ready for work tomorrow but at least my cold is going away!

Rizzo sporting his new camo gear. It’s been chilly these last few days and he’s been shaking so it’s been perfect. I got him a Christmas one as well since they were having a sell.

June needed to go to the store so I tagged along and we got everyone Krispy Kreme doughnuts. It was a bummer because the light turned off as we were walking in so no free doughnut for us.

We all took naps and took Emmy to the park. We played on swings and slid on slides. It’s been a long time since I’ve been on a swing and after I get over the stomach feeling I had fun trying to see how high I could go.

We went home and since everyone came home as well we did a hot pot meal with coconuts. No coconuts for me though. I’ve also realized my appetite is way smaller than it used to be.

Brudda leaves tomorrow morning but Emmy stays for a couple more weeks with us. Cannot wait to make more memories with her!

I was invited to have lunch with a different team since I support them. They decided on Pappadeaux and from what I could understand from the manager, it seems I’ll be invited to others down the line. We all shared appetizers and each got to order an entree. I was able to make conversation with everyone and learned more about them which helps build relationships and such. I’m not so nervous around the manager now due to being invited to these things so that helps. Our own team doesn’t even do this so it’s nice to get away from the desk.

When we got back the Halloween party had already started. I think this is the first time any Halloween stuff has been celebrated at work with goodie bags and everything. It’s nice that the admins did that and even got the managers to say something nice.

I went and mentored the high schoolers today. They asked if I’d come back next year when though they’d already have graduated. I told them I don’t know because I don’t want any other kids. I like them and it’s sad to watch people leave. Then I got teary eyed thinking of them graduating from high school, going to college, graduating and getting jobs. I love watching people grow.

We are packed and currently about to fall asleep at Sissy’s as our adventure starts tomorrow. It’s going to be freezing and we don’t have anything planned. We’d probably just stuff our faces only. Fingers crossed all goes well.
