For lunch we went to Tom+Chee. We’ve all been wanting to try this place since it opened up but I’ve always tried to stay away from it due to the price and what they serve.

[2018] 020/365: Simple, Expensive Meal

We were right. Although it was nice, I’d rather spend my ten dollars for a better meal. Other than that everything did taste scrumptious.

Last night we were so busy playing board games, Scruffy and I didn’t get to watch much of Game of Thrones so we’re back at it again since Sissy and BIL left. I did get a quick workout in and that’s all that matters.

Winter Is Coming!!!!

Hahahaha Sorry about that. Scruffy and I have been binge watching Game of Thrones. We’re only on Season 3 – yeah, yeah we’re behind – so please, don’t ruin it for us!! Scruffy and I are cheering on Daenerys Targaryen cuz … dragons.

[2018] 016/365: Winter Is Coming To Houston

Everyone knows Houston weather is unpredictable. Yesterday was a very nice day where we were able to take Luna and Rizzo to the park. Today, the pups were walking on snowy ice! That picture is the windshield and hood of my car. I loveeeee this weather! It meant more time with Scruffy since he didn’t have to go in today.

We met Andrew up for lunch. One of the only places opened, Sakura Asian Bistro. Scruffy and I shared this meal together since we weren’t too hungry. It wasn’t the very best but wasn’t horrible where we wouldn’t come back again.

Next door was a Starbucks and Scruffy was nice enough to drive-thru and get me a nice, hot cup of Chai Tea Latte. And because of that, I was able to get that shot with the snow! #basicbiyah

I’m quite excited to see how tomorrow will be since schools are all canceled! Eeep! Probably more stores and restaurants will be closed and Scruffy will be stuck here forever. hehe

Back to snuggling up to my beau with the pups by our side as we continue to binge on GOT!

Scruffy’s grandparents were going over to his house for dinner. When I showed up I was excited to see that it was kabobs! Mmmm … yum! I was so excited when Ashy said I could take some home. Lunch for tomorrow! Eeeep!

Luna and Gingerbread Man Toy

I agreed to babysit Luna. She’s been a handful so far since there are a total of five dogs in the house but I handed her this gingerbread toy of Rizzo’s and she fell in love.

I had to hide it so that she’d stop squeaking the toy and that she’ll go to bed. She’s gone to sleep now. Sweet girl. They are so cute together.

Scruffy and I finally made our way back to Bombay Grill. It’s been a while because last time we went with Andrew we’re pretty sure we all got food poisoning from it. We’re not 100% sure but it was the only meal we ate together and we all got sick so …

It was just as delicious as we remembered and I got a little crazy and ordered an extra dish because … vegetables.

[2018] 007/365: Rainy Days Seem to Hurt the Most

Scruffy and I cannot wake up today. He kept hitting the snooze button and I continued laying in bed because of it. Once we got our lazy butts up we packed a bit then headed to Taco Mel for what Andrew says is one of the best tacos ever.

You order your meat and get all you want for toppings and sauces. You can tell I piled that on! I wouldn’t say this is the best tacos ever but maybe it is for Lake Charles.

The drive was pretty painful. It was raining super hard and it was super bright out. The plethora of cars on the road didn’t help matters either. Thankfully, Scruffy wanted to stop at Checkers Drive-In and was nice enough to switch seats with me.

We went on our merry way and I fed him while he drove. Once we were done, I was sleepy and took a nap. By the time I woke up we were almost home!

Rocky, Bruno, Rizzo, Kato Waiting Patiently

He stayed for a quick bit and went home to Luna and his parents. His parents were having people over and we, too, were having people over. Katie, John, Tim, Joanna, and Jas came over for dinner and after dinner we had fun watching Jas make noise and pet Rizzo.

I am pooped. Though we didn’t do much this trip I had fun overall. It was nice of Andrew to let us borrow his place for the weekend.

I finally received my new planner for the year. We’re already a couple weeks ahead but I cannot wait to see how this one will compare to my usual. Stay tuned for that!
