2018 | 022/365 | Rockets vs Heat Rockets Win!

[2018] 022/365: Rockets Win!

Phoenicia Specialty Foods | Chicken Shawarma Wrap

Chicken Shawarma Wrap [with garlic sauce, tomato & potato; two sides] | $11.95

Scruffy and I went for lunch at Phonecia Specialty Foods for some Shawarma. After, we took a walk around the store where I bought some Sumac and cheese. Yum.

Yogi Tea Cup of Cheer

I enjoyed a cup of Yogi Energy Tea while working on my blog stuff and recipes. Scruffy hung out with BIL until Sissy came home from work.

Rockets vs Heat

It was a pretty last minute decision to go to the Rockets vs Heat game but I was excited we were going since it was the Mix & Match event.

Rockets vs Heat | Mix & Match T-Shirt

We got to choose between a t-shirt, poster, or koozie. We all got t-shirts of course!

Rockets vs Heat | Mix & Match Food

For the drinks: beer, water, or soda and for the food: popcorn or hot dog. We both got beers and one of each food group.

Rockets vs Heat | Final Score

It was a nailbiter throughout the whole game but we persevered and won at the end!

The Halal Guys | Houston, Texas | Chicken Platter, Combo Platter, Hummus

Scruffy and I ordered Uber Eats delivery from The Halal Guys. Mmmm, delicious. We’re going to scarf this down and watch Game of Thrones. Yay!!

2018 | 021/365 | Quote | Difficult Roads Often Lead to Beautiful Destinations

[2018] 021/365: Quote | Beautiful Destinations

During White Elephant this year, June got this letter felt board. She’s asked me to put up a quote once in a while so we can all see it and be uplifted.

Challenge accepted. Here’s the first one.

Stay Positive and Think Good Thoughts!

Tom+Chee | Katy, Texas

Tom+Chee | Katy, Texas

For lunch we went to Tom+Chee. We’ve all been wanting to try this place since it opened up but I’ve always tried to stay away from it due to the price and what they serve.

2018 | 020/365 | Tom+Chee | Katy, Texas | Pesto Turkey Melt + Creamy Basil Tomato Soup

Pesto Turkey Melt [Mozzarella cheese, hand-carved turkey breast, Roma tomatoes, basil sunflower pesto, wheat berry bread] with Creamy Tomato Basil Soup [a hearty blend of tomato, cream, garlic, basil] Combo [with a drink] | $9.99

[2018] 020/365: Simple, Expensive Meal

We were right. Although it was nice, I’d rather spend my ten dollars for a better meal. Other than that everything did taste scrumptious.

Last night we were so busy playing board games, Scruffy and I didn’t get to watch much of Game of Thrones so we’re back at it again since Sissy and BIL left. I did get a quick workout in and that’s all that matters.

Eating Well Always

January 19, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

2018 | 019/365 | Korean BBQ

[2018] 019/365: Galbi Get In My Mouff

Man, stop eating well has become eat well always. Haha

Sissy and BIL came over tonight for dinner of Korean BBQ. We had way too much food, per usual. I believe if my parents were here though it would have been a perfect amount.

We’re currently playing board games and will probably call it a night soon.

To Game of Thrones or to sleep? Hmm…

Wagyu Beef, Get In My Moufffff

2018 | 018/365 | Wagyu Beef

[2018] 018/365: Wagyu Dinner

Scruffy and I came across this at the Korean market and snagged a pack of sliced Wagyu. It’s obviously nothing compared to Theodore Rex but it was still dang good. It’s funny because we just had a quick chat yesterday about how we should not eat such good foods all the time.

Slab of Ice

The ice is starting to melt which is a good thing. It means not having to pump the tires before going somewhere due to tire pressure issues. It means not slipping on ice when Luna drags me on her leash. haha Yep, that happened yesterday. I still love it though because it means less people on the road and more people with their loves.

Kirin Light and Sake

While we were at the market picking things up for tomorrow’s dinner party we came across sake sooooo it was only natural, right?

It was such a spectacular dinner. I wished we got the Wagyu steaks. Man, that would be amazing.

Game of Thrones before bed. Byeee!!
