Last night I opened this wonderful birthday surprise from Patricia. I had the basic Naked palette but not the ultimate so I’m excited to see what I can create! I haven’t played with eyeshadows in FOREVER! I’ll have to relearn. Hopefully, it’s like riding a bike …

I was going to have lunch with Scruffy but with everything going on and having to make up the hours, we canceled our plans and I grabbed Whataburger and ate it at my desk while I worked.

[2018] 137/365: Deadpool 2

I went home, Scruffy and Luna came over, and I took a quick nap. We had dinner with my parents before we headed out to watch Deadpool 2. The theater was packed and I was a little sad that they didn’t have people dressed as Deadpool and played tricks on people like they did last time. Regardless, I loved the movie. P.S. I just want to mention just how captivating Brianna Hildebrand is and she’s from College Station, Texas! Go her!

Free breakfast at work day! Sausage sandwich, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. The bacon was hands down the best I’ve had in forever! I couldn’t finish everything though, especially that ciabatta. Soon after, I received a text from Scruffy that his Grandfather had passed away in the middle of the night and that everyone was heading over to his Nana’s. Before long, I was speeding down the highway to meet up with everyone.

Since everyone was fasting, Scruffy and I went out for a quick lunch at Roostar. It was actually not as bad as I thought it’ll be though I can’t say the same for the drivers trying to park and exit the parking lot.

[2018] 136/365: Chef Ashy

It was back to Nana’s, mosque, cemetery, and Scruffy’s to feed Luna before finally ending up at Camilla’s for dinner. It’s been a long day, and people constantly told me that I didn’t need to take off work but it was where I needed to be. I’ve never met my grandfathers and if I did, I was way too young to even remember them. Although Scruffy’s Grandfather and I didn’t spend a lot of time together, it was nice to have met him and had him in my presence because, for a couple years, I gained one. As I was helping Ashy in the kitchen, along with many other’s, you’d hear tears and choked up voices saying that this is what he always wanted, everyone together. And there we were.

In happier news — a few days ago I found out Amanda is pregnant! I cannot wait to see pictures of the little one. We used to joke that if she had a red-headed boy, he’ll be mine! haha

In happier, happier news — since it’s officially on Facebook, I can share that Daniel proposed to Liliana and she. said. YES! I cannot wait to witness them tying the knot! (I assumed I’m invited.) I reminded her to not live too far away for too long because she promised me we’d buy a house next to one another and grow old together. haha

[2018] 135/365: Lonely Rizzo

If Rizzo could talk, he’d tell you how much he misses me now that I’m at work. He gets so overly excited when I walk in the door and even picks up toys for me to play with him and he’s not even into toys! If I could, I’d pick a job where I get to spend more time at home. Sigh … maybe when I’m older.

This job is going to get me fat fatter than ever. Like when Violet ate a piece of candy and ballooned up and needed Oompa Loompas to roll her out. That’s going to be me soon. They apparently have free breakfasts Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. (Yes, Fridays. I don’t have every other Friday off like I did with my old job. I’m not too sure how I feel about it yet.) I didn’t grab any Monday since I just started, nor did I today because I was a little too shy and was afraid I’ll end up at the wrong place. But come Friday, everyone better get out of my way. I’m ready!

While in the break room, a random lady getting coffee introduced herself and has been super nice and showed me around, telling me more about the company. Later at lunchtime, she even invited me to lunch with her gal pals. I told her I would have to grab a quick lunch to which she replied she can score me some free BBQ since there was a lunch meeting with leftovers. I grabbed my plate and followed her down two floors to a bigger break room to eat. They were all super nice and even invited me to join whenever I wanted. I am conflicted because I’d like to join, but also because I’m not a fan of long lunches because I just want to go home to Rizzo. Sigh …

The afternoon hit me … groggy. I went to the break room to try a hazelnut coffee but it didn’t do anything to me. Everyone who knows me knows I’m not a super coffee fan so best believe there’s a lot of hazelnut creamer in there making it more milky than coffee.

[2018] 129/365: Steak Dinner

I received a text from Ashy with tonight’s dinner menu, inviting me to join. So I did. The steaks were PERFECT, as well as all the veggies and potatoes. Drool! I was craving a steak and this hit the spot! And I even have leftovers. Happy tummy.

I know it’s only been a few days since I’ve had their cooking and seeing Luna’s face but I really miss the freedom to come over whenever I wanted to and spend the night doing nothing.
