Monday, we celebrated June’s birthday again. Ethan loved singing happy birthday. I love how he tries to blow the candles out.
Rizzo was cute so … you’re welcome.
Tuesday, as part of June’s birthday present every year, I took her to a new restaurant, Ember & Greens. Perfect place for vegetarians! They had meat dishes too but we decided ordering a lot of different things to share was the best way to go. Our favourite was the vegetarian Stroganoff. They make it with different types of mushrooms and it paired well with the vegetarian flatbread! The sweet potato fries were also on point. I would definitely want to come back here again.
June and I were so stuffed after that we walked around Five Below and bought random things. June got Ethan and skateboard. Rizzo had a not so fun time standing on it. At least he listened and waited for me to get a pic in before he jumped off.
Wednesday, I met up with Mallory at Mai’s Table. This place is actually pretty dang good. Their friend chicken is up there with Jollibee. And their sides are perfect. They even have a soft serve machine that you go and do yourself. I joked that we could just sit there and grab their ice cream and they probably won’t even know since you order at the counter.
P.S. I found it funny that our drinks matched Mallory’s top!
Ethan’s been spending a lot of time with me. He even loves the cat game I actually downloaded for Artemis.
I’ve also been having a lot of cuddles with Rizzo too.
I finally finished the Two Kittens in Jeans. Sadly, another one with a missing piece. Every time the kids come a piece is missing. Three puzzles in counting. Sigh.
Ethan spent Friday morning with me before I left for the day. He laid on my chest while we played with Snapchat filters. His favourite was the broccoli. Mine is the first picture of the collage. haha I wonder what his response will be when he grows up and sees these pictures.
Finally, it was time for me to leave the house to meet Mallory & Beth for our pedicures. We all order Vietnamese Coffee because it’s that good.
Afterward, I spent a couple hours at Mallory’s before meeting up with Jameaca at Thaicoon. It was our first meet up and I think it went really well. We had good foods and conversations that lasted for two hours.
Afterward, Joanna came over and I helped her make things for Jasmine’s classroom since Joanna signed up to be a room mum. It was a fun project making a giant Disney castle, Mickey and Minnie heads with their names written on it.
Saturday morning, I played guitar to Ethan. He loved it so much and when I stopped playing and singing he’d grunt with displeasure. Maybe he’ll be the musical kid.
I headed over to Frankenstein’s and we grabbed lunch at King’s Bierhaus. After having it last week, I was excited to have it again! I was happy to hear that he enjoyed it as well though it didn’t sit too well with my stomach with all the carbs and sugar from the beer.
We went to Pet Supplies Plus for some goodies then HEB to pick up dinner so that we could have a relaxing night doing nothing.
We literally went back to the house and took naps. Then it was a lot of puzzling for me while he worked on his 3D stuff. I put on Vacation Friends and although it isn’t his type of movie, he laughed at a lot of parts.
We ate our HEB dinners and watched Artemis sleep. We even put on The Chef Show which is pretty interesting before we drifted off to sleep.
I woke up and puzzled a bit more before Frankenstein woke up. We grabbed breakfast at Eggcellence Cafe. Their service was very slow but I was very surprised about their food. Chicken and Waffles, and Salmon Benedicts. All perfect.
We went to Target after since the Bay Areas Farmers Market wasn’t opened yet. They had a lot of stalls at this market. I was sad to see that they didn’t have too many vegetable stalls but I was able to snag some good hot sauce and cracklins.
Frankenstein wasn’t feeling well so after we got back I stayed for a little bit before heading home myself with a pumpkin spice latte in hand.
Upon getting home Ethan was thrown at me to watch. He didn’t finish his nap and instead cried until I picked up the guitar and sang to him. Then when I tried to nap, he kept sitting on my face and poking me. It’s a good thing he’s cute!
Since I plan to donate blood tomorrow, I made my steak. Best steak I’ve ever made in the air fryer. Getting better each time!!
It’s been a busy week but I’m thankful to be able to have it surrounded by such amazing people. Hopefully tomorrow will be a very laid back day … even with Ethan around.
