The Great British Bake Off … Kinda

I skipped a day of blogging and I don’t feel bad about it. I will say doing so made me a little less willing to today as well. I’ve noticed if I do something consecutively I will continue it and be motivated to do it. Maybe that’s what I have to do with my workouts. bahaha

Yesterday, I decided to bake for my coworkers and went to the store this morning. A few hours later I created a key lime pie, chocolate pie, and six cups of homemade whipped cream. I’m not 100% sure how the whipped cream will hold since it’s my first time making stabilized whipped cream. Tomorrow morning I’ll find out how it goes. I feel like I’m on The Great British Bake Off.

Mentally Drained

I always get tasked to write work instructions before I leave a job. Luckily I enjoy it more than the work itself. Is this a legit job? If so, can someone sign me up?

I was mentally drained by the time if hit two in the afternoon. I even skipped lunch because I was having so much fun listening to music while working. That’s when you know it’s a good day.

Noah got free tickets to House of Blues and asked if I wanted to join. I had said yes but all that driving back and forth wasn’t worth it especially when I was so drained. Instead we went to Jollibee for our third time together and took him home to make up for it.

I literally went home and crashed for a couple hours before waking up and jamming out. I am practicing to cover Secret Love Song, Part II by Little Mix. Listen to it if you haven’t. It is so angelic.

Often times I’m told my heart is filled with so much good that I must be the best person to be around. I’m not sure if I’m the best to be around but I will always do my best to be the best for the ones I love. I sometimes tear myself apart so that I can give so much of myself to them that it breaks me mentally and physically. I may falter but I’m only human.

Often times I’m told that my heart is filled with so much good that people tend to think I have feelings for them romantically. I lean towards friendship 98% of the time and the lucky few get that 2%. I lose friends of all genders in the process. From jealous girlfriends to a boyfriend’s wandering eye. From my own gal friends’ jealousy that “so many like you yet you’re too picky” to finding out that I never felt that way about them from the start.

My walls are getting higher with each goodbye. I’m starting to believe that friendships are only temporary. In my mind, the only way I can keep a friend is if I keep my distance. But why even try, if you’re only going to become a distant memory?

I went into work even though I was looking a bit rough from sickness to find out the meeting was rescheduled to tomorrow. So what do I do? Run away home of course.

Upon leaving, Noah stopped me and gave me my belated Christmas present. A squishable stuffed avocado because of that one video that we bring up constantly. It is now my favourite bedmate. Rizzo agrees.

Happy New Year, lovelies!

I am still surprised that I blogged EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. in 2018! There were times I didn’t think I’d make it, especially when I felt out of sorts when I take pictures in weird environments or blog at my usual times and people yell or poke fun at me for it. I pushed past it all and look at me now! I am happy that I did it because while I was typing up this post I sincerely had the best time looking back, good and bad. So, without further ado, enjoy.
