Every argument, every word we can’t take back
‘Cause with all that has happened
I think that we both know the way that the story ends
…
I think that you’ll be happier, I want you to be happier
…
I wanna raise your spirits
I want to see you smile

I got off work early so that I could take Emmy to play JJ. I did stop by McDonald’s to pick up some food for me, Dad, and Emmy before heading over.

I stopped by Starbucks and picked up some goodies for me and Mallory as well.

Emmy and JJ played, drove around, went to the park for snack time, then went back to the house and played.

Beth came over and we had wine as well. Emmy actually fell asleep or was so tired she didn’t want to get up. But then she heard “pizza” and was awake again. Crazy girl. Thanks for Mallory having Emmy and I over for about six hours. She had a lot of fun and said she wanted to come back tomorrow. Really wish that she lived closer so they could be forever friends. Sigh.

We went home and soon enough Gordon and Patsy came over and brought mochi ice cream. They played and we ended up watching funny game shows off YouTube before they called it a night.

I received a package from Japan from Erin! She sent two postcards. One for me and one for the old team. She’s so sweet and got things just for me and whatever I pretty much don’t want will go to the team. Don’t worry, I won’t be greedy! I’m excited to try the chips she got me!

Today marks a whole year of high school mentoring. I’m glad all three of my menchie’s received word that they got into more than one college. It might not be their first choice but it will be a college that they will fall back on if money doesn’t work out.

We had a pizza party to celebrate which none of us were ready for. I guess we didn’t really pay attention to the announcement that this was the last one. I was going to bring them all a gift card as a farewell gift so I was genuinely sad when one of my mentees gave me a gift because I couldn’t return the favour!
I’m extremely proud of all three of them and I wish that we could stay in touch so that I can know the greatness that they will achieve throughout their lives.

Work went by so fast since I had a lot of meetings and then the work Thanksgiving potluck. My plate was filled to the brim and I was comfortable enough to get the breast bone to knaw on in front of my coworkers. I also went home at one so that I could take Emmy to play with JJ.

JJ drove Emmy and him in his power wheel to the club house where we got a crap, unsweet tea and strawberry banana smoothie and chips to share for the kids. They wrote letters to Santa and mailed them and played in the park. Emmy slid down the slide all by herself!
Afterwards we went back to the house to play and Beth came over. On the drive home Emmy passed out and you’d think from not taking her afternoon nap she’d be in bed by now. But nope, she’s sitting here hanging out with me. She’s going to sleep so well tonight.

We had dim sum today and it was perfect! Because I got to order some of the foods I liked and was full and happy. We also got some groceries as well. Emmy is doing so well when we go out and eat. No more throwing napkins on the floor or having a fit. She looks around, plays with her food and eats a lot overall.

We all got home and took naps then woke up and played with Emmy a bit before we had hot pot for dinner. We had a lot of stuff we wanted to use up in the fridge and various gas bottles with a little bit of gas left. Fast and simple dinner.

Afterward, I played with Emmy while everyone cleaned. She hid under the covers and said “oh no, it’s raining. I’m scared.” It wasn’t raining but she’s adorable.
I finished a crocheting project I started like two and a half years ago and am currently on my next one. Hoping this one comes out pretty well since it’s been a while since I started a new one. I’m rusty.
