I’ve realized how much harder it is to post a daily picture post … but I’m trying.

I got to check out the city she lives in and hang out with one of her friends here. We’ll call her Blondie because I seriously do not know how to spell her name.

 

Anyway, Michelle, Blondie, and I went to a Mexican restaurant.

It’s pretty decent. The service isn’t all that great. My tacos were on the side of greasy. My stomach doesn’t feel that great right now. But overall, not a bad experience. Free sopapillas and ice cream. Who can complain right? Yep, had my first sopapilla and all I can say is … fried dough.

We then headed over to the theater and watched Safe Haven. Seriously one of the best movies ever. I loved every second of it. I will definitely buy this movie and watch it a bazillion times. I want Josh … but who doesn’t?

Time for bed time.

THON begins tomorrow. I wish I was in Penn State with the rest of my FTKers that got to go this year. But it’s okay. FTK lives on no matter where you are in the world. I have it with me pretending I am physically there.

I got a chocolate cover strawberry from a coworker on the down low. It’s pretty sweet since I mean that’s all I wanted for Valentine’s day. The sprinkles makes it that much better. Make me DARK chocolate covered strawberries and I will be your best friend!

The doggie is a card Jane sent me. I feel very special. Her handwriting is to die for. And just getting mail makes me all tingly inside.

Two more red envelopes to add to my collection. Thanks Aunt Katie!

Samantha and I are now sitting on the couch watching Doctor Who. We had dinner of tamales and chili with cornbread. Thanks Sam! Yum Yum in my Tum Tum.

Time to just relax. No work tomorrow and getting to see one of my best friends later that night for the whole weekend? Too excited!

Happy Valentine’s Day y’all!

Oh boy. Today was a very sweet day.

First we got our Girl Scout Cookies. 2 boxes of Thin Mints. 2 boxes of Shortbread. I’m thinking they will go well with baking. But we shall see.

Went out to lunch with some coworkers for a birthday. Thai House on Eldridge if you’re ever in Houston. So YUM! Then we had the cake I baked last night for a coworker’s birthday got gobbled up. Chocolate on top of chocolate.

A sweet surprise landed in our mailbox. Body Central. Sissy and I shop all the time online and this is just another one of our goodies. Fun Funs!

Do you shop online? It’s starting to be a problem for me. Time to cut myself off!

Valentine’s Day tomorrow! What are your plans?! I have a date … with one of my good friends, Samantha! We are going to have a girl’s night. Can’t wait for simple relaxation. Yippee!

The Good: We decorated one of our coworker’s office today. It’s her birthday but she took the day off. She will be surprised! Or maybe she knew it was coming? Over the hill. Hence the black streamers coming down. Teehee.

And the best popcorn ever. Any kind of white cheddar popcorn is my favorite. I especially love when my fingers turn powered white. YUM! I got this from the blood center and made it my snack today. Best. Idea. Ever. If you buy me popcorn, we’d be best friends. Not the caramel sweet, sticky, dessert like popcorns though, please and thank you.

The Bad: On a sadder news, a coworker of mine had a minor heart attack (I believe) this morning and had to be rushed to the hospital. It was pretty scary because you’d never think to see that happen. At least we had a good system and got here there in time.

Samantha sucked me into watching Doctor Who? on Netflix. Little bit of scary but a little bit of curiosity makes me continue watching. Therefore, I’m signing off and watching another episode … or two … before nighty night.

Only those from FTK will understand where that quote came from in my title.

Anyway, that’s Mallory giving blood. We decided to go to the Blood Center last week so we made our way there today. Love giving back.

I apparently have a rare blood type so I like knowing I can help out.

Then we met up with Samantha and we did happy hour. You’ll notice the tea. I didn’t drink! One of the no-no’s after donating blood. But who really cares. I’m just trying to drink less.

And following that is homemade potato chips and a harvest flatbread. YUMS!
