Johnny Junior Melts My Heart

January 18, 2017 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Snapchat Lamb | Mellie Dee

How creep-tastic is this picture? I love that Snapchat continually put up new filters to play with.

I got to see Mallory after getting off work late. We went to Hasta La Pasta with Johnny Junior and headed back to her house where we found John lounging in his recliner waiting for us to bring him dinner.

I got to hold Johnny which I was super excited about …. except for when he’s crying and having the feeling I might drop him. That boy is a kicker and stretcher. It’s so cute. He’s ready to be a soccer player like his parents.

I got him a traditional Chinese jacket, kind of like a changshan but not long. He won’t fit it for this Chinese New Year but it’ll still be cute for him to be wrapped around it. I can’t wait to see him fit into it fully. Eeeeep!

All about Johnny. Why are babies so adorable?

I’m ready to sleep during the weekend. Who wants to cuddle?

My Dream Job

January 17, 2017 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Best way to gain followers is by following and commenting others.

Wise words that I use to follow back when I was in college and had time to do so. Now that I’m working full time and juggling life, it’s harder.

I constantly tell my boyfriend he needs to make enough so that I could work from home, be a full time blogger and YouTuber with a side job until I make it big. Then we can both “work from home” and travel everywhere.

A dream that would make my world if it did become a reality but I think about what it would be like if it became a job and it was the only source of income. Would I love it still and continue or start to dislike it because it’s so routine?

Plus, it’s so hard when your family is not down to be photographed or recorded. Else, it’ll be so much easier! Come on family, support my dreams!

Stuffed Bell Pepper & Banana Chocolates | Scruffy

Speaking of the boyfriend, he brought me my lunch today, heated it up, and hand delivered it to me with utensils! And he added dessert on the side! Little banana chocolates I gave him from Hong Kong, wrapped up in a paper towel. So sweet. #littlethings

Is It Bedtime Yet?

January 16, 2017 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

King's Court | Houston, Texas | Mellie Dee & Scruffy

I cannot keep my eyes open the whole weekend. Scruffy gave me a wake up call at 2pm on Saturday so that I can make it for the Falcons vs Seahawks game at his house. Let’s be honest though, I fell back asleep moments after I arrived until it was time to leave to Sissy’s for the Texans vs Patriots game. I was able to stay awake by playing on my phone during the game but on the drive home it was so bad that I had to sleepover.

Luna's 1st Birthday

I planned on waking up at 6am Sunday but I woke up at 12pm instead. I went home and a few moments later Scruffy came over with Luna since it was her 1st birthday. His job was to keep me awake all day. We went to the pet shop for a birthday gift and got Sushihana to-go. We plan on watching Shameless but it wouldn’t load so I started to fall asleep again and Scruffy fell asleep alongside me until 6pm. We failed.

June's Dishwasher Incident

I wanted to go back to bed when Scruffy and Luna left but June suggested after 9pm was best else I would wake up in the middle of the night. Thank goodness because when I went downstairs for a drink of water I saw bubbles! She accidentally put in Palmolive dish soap instead of dishwasher soap. I have never experienced this before so it was quite funny. I joked that since Chinese New Year is almost here, we were just cleaning. Our floors are sparkling clean now. Hehe

2017 Asia Trip | Day 8

January 13, 2017 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Sissy and I woke up very early and got ready for the day. We weren’t really able to sleep much but I would say the pod wasn’t too bad.

The only incident was that when I went up to go pee in the middle of the night a lady claimed that she went to get a drink of water and came back and found out that someone had stolen her two passports. Thank goodness I got Sissy to watch my pod while I went. We weren’t sure if she ever got them back but I hope that she did.

Narita Airport | Narita, Japan | Massage Chairs

We woke up too early for any places to be open for food so we walked around and found this massage chair. It cost only a dollar something for a 10 minute massage. Since there’s nothing else to do I dropped some coins in and sat down. My back felt so much better afterwards.

Tatsu | Narita Airport | Narita, Japan | Curry Udon

We walked back to Tatsu thinking it will be Ramen. But when we got there we realized they served udon. We didn’t know where else to go so we ordered our udon. One curry and one regular. It wasn’t the best but we made do.

Akihabara | Narita Airport | Narita, Japan

We went and bought some souvenirs before going towards our gate. It’s a very big store with so much to look at!

Sushi Take Out | Narita Airport | Narita, Japan

We stopped by a sushi place since hello Japan. We ordered the $17 plate of sushi and shared it. My sister is vegetarian and I was surprised that she tried more than I thought she would.

Narita Airport | Toilets

We went to our last restroom break before the flight. One that cleans your bum and the other you squat at.

ANA Airlines | Dinner 2

A snack was served a little after take off and dinner three hours in.

ANA Airlines | Breakfast

We were served a sandwich halfway through the flight but I didn’t get one. I was too full and knew we would be served breakfast soon. Two to three hours before landing we were served breakfast, just as I thought.

ANA Airline | Sunrise on Plane

I was able to capture the sunrise which is the most beautiful sight I’ve ever seen. So much cloudiness and so much brightness all in one. I was also able to see another plane fly alongside of us as you can see in the last picture.

Asian Snacks

Sissy and I took the Uber home. We showered and she took a long nap. Then we, along with Brett, Bruno, and Kato, went home to see Rizzo, June, and Rocky. Scruffy and Luna came over as well and we went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. We came back for a couple games of Camel Up while tasting wasabi Kit Kat, Sake Kit Kat, and this crunchy noodle snack.

Though I wish I was still back in Hong Kong, I’m happy to be home. I have missed my pups and Scruffs.
