We ordered Beck’s Prime through Favor. I got the chicken sandwich which I don’t highly recommend. We shared the fries and sweet potatoes which were very soggy because it was delivered. Oh welp.

I went upstairs and played with my new IPad 6th Generation and the Apple Pencil. I haven’t gotten my screen protector and case yet so I haven’t fully taken in the goodness of everything.

We played 7 Wonders with the new expansion I got. Scruffy left for an engagement party and the rest of us took naps before getting ready for Katrina’s 1st Month. Each table has some roasted pig and red eggs for good luck. Yum!!

We are now playing Munchkin and hoping to get to San Juan as well before we call it a night.

[2018] 160/365: Maid of Honor

I received a package in the mail and when I saw it was from Liliana I knew it was wedding related. I followed the rules and read the card first. When I started scratching the heart per my instructions, Scruffy was behind me holding the notebook, slyly ripping off the post-it (without my knowledge) and yelped in the background. I kept shushing him certain it would say bridesmaid.

I am super shocked but extremely honored to not only be by your side on your special day but to be chosen to help you through it all. You’re going to be gorgeous and stunning and I’m certain there will be many tears of happiness and laughter. I can already picture Daniel when he sees you walk down the aisle. I’m excited to see you soon and I love you both and cannot wait for the day to come!!

Work was so stressful today. It was a lot of he-said she-said and well more like she-said she-said. Everything is just so petty with her that I don’t even know how to function anymore. I’m sick of going into a meeting thinking would talk about work and it’s about her.

Luckily I have this girl that makes life much easier. We went and got lunch together at Bullritos. We talked about so many various things that took the stress level down.

After work I went over to Scruffy’s house with plans to stay over and go to work from there. I enjoyed an Arnold Palmer spiked drink while being lazy on the couch. Luna is patiently waiting for her ball in the background.

[2018] 158/365: Gluten Free Lasagna with Garlic Bread

Scruffy asked what I wanted for dinner and I suggest carb free. I gave him choices of grilled chicken with veggies or lettuce wraps.

I was shocked when he replied back that he wanted to try a vegetable lasagna where you use zucchini and squash instead of pasta. Jamie added garlic bread for good measure.

Everyone RAVED about how good the lasagna was to the point where I will be adding it to my cookbook.

After dinner I realized it was still early and that I really missed Rizzo and just wanted to be in my own bed so I headed home.

[2018] 157/365: Just a Little Rizzo In My Life

Poor Rizzo only gets nighttime sleeps with me ever since I got this job and it’s usually up to five hours! Poor boy misses his mama and couldn’t wait for these cuddles!

Work is piling up, and I kind of like it. I only wish I lived closer so that I am not wasting time in traffic or from driving in general. Oh well. One step at a time.

I had an hour and a half phone call with Delisha just now. I never thought, out of all the people I met at my old job, she’ll be the one I keep most in touch with! It’s crazy how life works out and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She seems to be so in love with everything in her life and it makes me SO freaking HAPPY! I love hearing her updates and I cannot wait for the next one.

I finally got a haircut. I’ve been meaning to get one but have been SUPER busy/lazy. The last time I went was with Scruffy to his aunt’s. That was MONTHS ago! I sat waiting for a good twenty minutes before the receptionist took me to get my hair washed. She wasn’t the best and I felt her nails digging into my scalp. I guess that’s her way of “massaging.” Also, the seat didn’t have a footstep so I was on my tiptoes the whole time putting a strain on my neck but whatevs.

[2018] 156/365: Hairdid

I waited for a while longer sitting in the seat before this lady cut my hair. She was super duper nice and I actually like how my hair came out! I have to wait until I wash and blow dry myself, but overall, it wasn’t bad. I was so happy to have found her and hoped she could do my hair FOREVER … but she’s pregnant and will not be of service any longer. Plus this place was supposed to be on the way home from work but they will be moving to a different location later in the year. Sigh. I haven’t looked up to see if it’s still going to work out but fingers crossed because if this lady is good, I am hoping the other two that work there will be too.

Now off to snuggle with Rizzo until bed time. Night, y’all!

[2018] 155/365: Delicious Breakfast

Guys, I’ve been to Black Walnut Cafe a handful of times and I’ve never felt this place was good enough until today. The meats were on point, the potatoes were perfect, and the eggs were delicious. Just everything … ugh. I like when food makes your day better. Maybe that’s why I’m a fattie.

Another thing about work … something magical happened. The mean lady had a 360 and have been super nice and helpful today. I’m not sure what happened but I’m thankful it did. I am able to do my work and get back on the right track. Sometimes, I feel like she could be lying about some things so that I look bad but other times I think I’m just overthinking it. I’ll go with the latter and hope for the best.
