Pesto Pasta with Sunny Side Eggs

Delicious pesto pasta with a sunnyside egg for lunch. #winning Not really … I had to be home again since the stomach isn’t 100%. It’s not all the way okay but I need to go in tomorrow. Wahh … Anyway doesn’t the face look like a face?

[2018] 177/365: Testing Rizzo’s Patience

Rizzo did well with his heart shaped treat on his back. I’m surprised! He’s definitely not like Rocky and Luna. They usually move when I do this. He waited till I said okay. So good.

A Better World Begins With You

Breakfast Tacos at Work

Work went pretty well this morning. My breakfast buddy was back from his vacation so we went and grabbed our usual free Monday breakfast. Today we had breakfast tacos and he talked about things that went wrong on his trip and I talked about buying houses. I’m always looking to buy a place for myself but have never found the perfect one which I know is not possible but a girl likes to dream. Until then I’ll be saving up money and living at home with the parents the Asian way.

Anyway, something happened to my stomach. It felt like someone punched me there and made me super nauseous. I suggested to go home and if my boss wanted, I could work from home. Instead she told me to take the day off and I pretty much just had hot flashes, laid in bed or was in the restroom if you know what I mean.

[2018] 176/365: Tiffany Haddish’s Happiness Tweet

This quote popped up while I was on “bed rest”. It’s something that resonates with me and something I try very hard to carry out because it’s something I truly believe in. A better world begins with you.

Stay positive and think good thoughts.

Seared Scallops For Days

Rizzo and Luna Sleeping

I am really loving how Luna and Rizzo can get along really well in the sense that they can sleep together in the same bed and her head is on his ass and he doesn’t even care. I feel like they’ve been playing a lot more to which is always a good sign.

We didn’t do much today. Super relaxing. Scruffy and I watched Wonder Woman, finally! Gal Gadot was made for that role. She looked amazing as Wonder Woman and did such an amazing job.

[2018] 175/365: Seared Scallop Nigiri

After the movie we lazed a bit more resulting into me taking a thirty minute nap. We decided to go to Kura Revolving Sushi. It has easily become our favorite place but sadly today Scruffy was not able to get the salmon that he wanted. Apparently they weren’t the best looking. I on the other hand went crazy and got plates and plates of seared scallops and was in heaven. I can eat those FOREVER!

We stopped by 85 Degree for me to pick up a couple of baked goods. Scruffy decided on a frozen taro drink. Soon enough I was dropping him off, picking Rizzo up and heading home.

I have since did an extensive facial which included an exfoliation, a face wash, a mud mask, a nose and chin pore strip, and a hydrating facial mask. My skin feels like a baby’s butt.

I’m also happy to share I’m back to meal prepping. I made an avocado pesto pasta type thing with lots of veggies. It is so creamy and delicious and it gives me something to look forward to everyday.

Now it’s time to relax before bed time. Bye lovelies!

Heal Up, Mama

Free Breakfast at Work

Breakfast at work was delicious as usual. Work flew by as well with great conversations with Lil-P. Soon enough I was out the door running errands.

While at work I received horrible news. Scruffy’s Grandma, Mama, fell and broke a part of her spine. I’m not too certain of all the details but they won’t be operating on her due to her age and will be giving her a brace instead. Sucks … not too sure how it’ll be but I guess time will tell.

[2018] 173/365: Pastor Tacos

Scruffy and I prepped dinner and had it ready when Ashy came back from the hospital. I used lettuce as my taco shells whole everyone else used tortillas. Everything was delicious but the jalapeño avocado salsa stole the show. It’s definitely Scruffy and I’s go to now.

We are currently all watching Please Stand By and it’s actually really good. Go check it out if you haven’t!

Downtown Houston

Dunkin' Donuts Iced Hazelnut Latte

It’s still quite hard for me to stay fully awake at work even when I sleep early! I bought a Dunkin’ Donut coffee in hopes to wake me up but as always, it never does. It tastes good while it lasted though!

[2018] 171/365: Downtown Houston

During a super late lunch break, I walked with the part-timer for some Chipotle and was able to see part of downtown. I haven’t walked down this way before and it was actually pretty nice to see the beauty of the buildings. It was super hot and humid and I was constantly afraid it was going to rain on us.

Chipotle Burrito Bowl

I didn’t even make a dent in this and called it a day. I cannot wait to chow down on this tomorrow. Mmm … I love burrito bowls. I’m thinking of making my own and bring it to work because they’re the best.

Time for a shower then the last episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 14. Eeeep!
