[2018] 185/365: Homemade Pizzas

Sissy, BIL and some of Scruffy’s family members came over for a July 4th celebration of food, beer and conversations. We made homemade dough and some store bought ones in case they failed. Overall everyone had a good time creating their own pizzas.

Ashy smoked some meat as well and the chicken was ON POINT this time. Everyone seemed to like the ribs but it wasn’t smokey enough for me.

We played a couple of games before we called it a night and I headed home. I’m dreading having to drive downtown especially with all the rain. Hopefully it won’t flood.

[2018] 183/365: Hard Waxing

Work went by pretty slow which is common when the holidays come up. It’s not that bad since we get a day off in the middle of the week but could have been better if we could have more days off, obviously.

I’m not too certain we will be swimming for the Fourth of July but since my new wax kit came in this weekend I took a stab at it today. I was a little worried that I’ll burn myself or rip off part of my skin or whatever else could go wrong but I was surprised that everything went smoothly. See what I did there? Hehe It was a little harder to do certain areas of my body by myself but practice makes perfect, right?

[2018] 180/365: Luna and Rizzo Cuddles

After work today I arrived at Scruffy’s and I was able to get in some cuddles with Luna and Rizzo. Some alone time where I watched YouTube videos and played my games.

I made the veggies while Scruffy made the fried chicken – from scratch. And it tasted on point! Until the fryer broke resulting in some pieces not getting that second fry. The Brussels sprouts were pungent In a not so good way that we chucked them. They were bad but Ashy thought it was still good so we continued making them … good thing he realized after the bake, just how horrible they were. Scruffy’s conclusion is that he’d rather go and buy the dang chicken next time and that it wasn’t worth the time it took to make it. I disagree because I liked his more that other fried places but oh well.

[2018] 179/365: Sequence Board Game

Scruffy came over with Luna after work to have dinner with me and my family. After going to the pet store and Wal-Mart we headed home to play Sequence with Mum. She rarely plays games with us so it was a big win.

Scruffy took Rizzo home with him so it’ll be a night without my baby. But that also means not having to take him out in the morning. Yay!
