You can call me Master now. Haha Just kidding. But I’m a Professional Scrum Master now which is pretty cool.

There were days Ethan came up to my room and it wasn’t too bad having him while working. Half the time, I’d put on music and he’ll wiggle around on the bed.

Friday morning, I took Mum to her eye check up. She needs a YAG surgery before she can get Lasik to finish up her cataract journey. Fingers crossed.

We stopped by Starbucks for coffee for me and a sandwich for her. The we spent almost an hour in the driveway talking. It’s rare getting one on one time with her nowadays so it was much cherished.

Afterwards, I went and picked up our Cheddar’s order and headed off to Mallory’s. John was working from home so he got some yum yums too.

We popped the champagne after eating and made our yearly toast albiet late and enjoyed some chocolate chip shortbread cookies she had made the day before. Delish.

Mallory and I “watched” the movie Prom on Netflix. We mostly talked and looked through social media, yet when the ending hit, you bet I cried.

I also tried out Splatoon as well. Only fun if I had someone to play with. After the first round, I got the hang of it though.

I decided to sell Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart to Rose since I rarely play them now. I’ll use the money to buy a different game, maybe.

I took Rizzo over to their house so Katherine can play with him. We walked for 20 minutes before she had to go to her piano lesson on Zoom while I spent a while longer catching up with Rose.

Saturday, Mum went with me to run errands. Mostly to return things to different stores. We stopped by a grocery store so Mum can get some essentials where I was able to snag another Starbucks next door.

That night we watched The Commuter. Ethan had fun in his new colourful cage. I aslo started a new puzzle. One of the hardest due to the stupid crazy design. Ethan woke up in the middle of the night and he thinks the puzzle is hard too.

This morning we stopped by Starbucks to try their new pistachio latte. And whole mum picked up pho, we went next door for Smoothie King. I’m saving it for breakfast/lunch tomorrow.

I was watching my TVB, Death by Zero show until my parents threw Ethan to me. I switched it to Clouds, the movie, and feed him some snap peas. He was restless so after playing next to me while I cried due to the movie, Dad came and picked him up instead.

Sopa de Fideo was eaten through the week which was perfect for you the weather. Today, Ramen Bowl was the best route.

It’s been a day of nothing but lazy puzzling or lazy laying around. Ever since I took the certification test I feel so free. Hopefully I don’t have to study for anything else for a while.

Work’s new professional network had a late night bingo session. I’ve never gone to any in the past since it’s always downtown but since this was virtual, I said what the hey!

We played three games in one and a half hours. There were three winners for the first one and I ended up winning the last two! I was shocked. We’re getting gift cards so I’m excited! I’m sure it’ll be for Amazon.

I finally bought myself a tumbler that keeps hot and pours easily with a cup lid. I use if to store hot water and make tea in the lid. It’s been perfect especially in this weather.

Starbucks had a promotiom Thursday where if you buy a peppermint mocha, they’ll give you a peppermint mocha air freshener. I went Friday and was able to snag the last one. Winner. Winner.

Hot pot has become the norm.

On Friday, I stopped by and picked up Cheddar’s for lunch and headed over to Mallory’s. We went and picked up tamales from a grandma in the neighborhood. What else did we do that day? I’m not sure but I was there forever doing nothing and it was great.

Daily walks are getting harder with the weather but I’ve been doing some strength training in place of it.

Sunday, I went over to Mallory’s where we stuffed cupcakes into boxes and headed over to Beth’s and Scott’s for their baby shower.

Everything was pretty good in the beginning then the crazy came and we had to tear down and stand under the garage instead. Great memories.

Beth being a model with the goodies. Mickey cupcakes and hand sanitizers were given out and people could take pictures with the sign if they wanted to.

We definitely made use of it. Beth with her hosts for the baby shower.

When the drive by was complete, we went inside to open the presents that came from the drive by. We ordered Lupe Tortillas for dinner and had a great time with Beth, Scott, Mallory, John, MacKenzie, Dale and their son Jackson.

Scott showed me what he was using to easily hold his phone and gave me one to use. It’s pretty awesome so far. We each got a thank you present from Beth as well and I am EXCITED for everything in it.

When I got back to Mallory’s house, Janna gave me a blueberry preserves which I’m excited for since it’s been awhile since I’ve eaten any.

It’s been a crazy day with the thunderstorm but it was a great one. I’m pooped now. Four days until the weekend.

First things first. Rosanna and Duy are finally married! SIL was the matron of honour and therefore to do the whole two weeks thing, Emmy has been over. Their summer wedding became a fall wedding due to the pandemic but I’m glad they were finally able to tie the knot. I wasn’t able to make it but being able to watch it from afar makes my heart happy. Congrats you two love birds!

Emmy has been loving being here. I was doing an eye mask and lip mask and her response was, “Why do you have a shoe, another shoe and a lip on your face?” Too cute and funny.

Keeping her entertained is tougher as she gets older but we are getting by! Lots of different interactive activities. Dad tested out a tent he bought years ago and Emmy loved being in it.

My favourite is seeing Rizzo and her laying next to each other falling asleep. The cutest!

We had a playdate with JJ. I bought them some Bing Su corn dogs which were better than I expected when I dipped it in one of their spicy sauces. Emmy is obsessed with JJ driving her around than actually playing. So weird.

Sissy and BIL came over with Kolaches and Minuti Coffee for us. We played with Perla beads and confetti eggs. We shook our hair like a Pantene commercial.

Emmy also gave us all nicknames from shows she’s watched:

• Emmy = Owlette
• Me = Cowboy
• June = Gecko
• Mum = New Girl
• Dad = Wolfy
• Sissy = Armadylan
• BIL = Mr. Potato Head

Per usual, our walks. She’s able to hold Rizzo now without help and run as well. Oh how she’s grown. I found it hilarious that she walked June and Rizzo at the same time due to June’s fanny pack slack.

Feeding her has also been easier than before. Hot pot is still her favourite.

I was able to get my Starbucks when Mum had her second surgery for her eyes. All went well. We’re hoping for good healing before she gets glasses. Thanks to everyone that asked!

I also went and got myself some PB whiskey, a different brand than what I tried in the past. And for the first time, I found the correct Soju! I am SO excited.

It’s been a crazy week but being able to take half a week off has been amazing. I’m excited to see what this week will bring us before she leaves again.

How do you watch a baby that likes to swipe and bang on your keyboard while you work? Give him teethers and put him in your lap of course! This kept him busy enough for me to churn out some things before handing him back to Dad.

June and I took him on our walks. He does pretty well during them. He mostly sings to himself, “dances”, and smiles a lot. There was one day where he screamed his head off and did NOT like being in his stroller. This resulted me in having to push the stroller, ensuring Rizzo didn’t get tied up in the wheels, and held him ALL THE WAY BACK HOME. He is not light but I did it.

Most days, this is how he ends up. Asleep. I usually go a little longer so he can get in a little more rest before he gets woken up to me taking him out. Then he usually plays a bit more, drinks his milk, before going to bed. He’s pretty easy to take care of, for the most part.

On Friday, Brudda and I met up halfway. Mum came along for the sibling swap. I gave Ethan back, and in return, got Emmy. We stopped by Cane’s for dinner. Mum was super excited because she’s been wanting Cane’s for a long time. Emmy loves their lemonade.

Keeping an almost 4 year old entertained is tough stuff but we’re pushing through. We have some things planned to do with her and I’ve taken a few days off to spend time with her but mostly because I have a little too much vacation.

Foods this week was a treat! Especially the ones where I didn’t have to pay for it. Those always taste the best! Seeing Emmy gobble up a happy meal makes me quite happy since the last time she visited, she wasn’t a fan! Oh, how she’s grown!

Mum had her first cataract surgery Wednesday, on her left eye. So far, everything seem to have gone well. She has her next one this coming Wednesday for her other eye. Once both is complete, she will be able to see far but not close which is not bad at all. Here’s to hoping all goes well!
