[2018] 288/365: Guitar and Songwriting

Hi old friend. It’s been a long time since I’ve picked you up and played and sang my heart out. It’s also been a long time since I’ve written. It feels good emotionally but my fingers are in pain, in a nice way. And I love having the smell of guitar strings on my fingers again. Oh the memories. I need to get my calluses again.

[2018] 287/365: Spiralize Everything

Carrots, zucchini, and yellow squash was all spiralized. I got so into it I accidentally cut my finger while twisting. Whoops. It was actually pretty nice to see tried colors instead of all greeness but when I dumped in the avocado pesto mixture, it didn’t make much of a difference. everything became green. Pesto is still my favourite go to meal.

I did a three part mask with a three step pore strip. My skin feels so refreshed. I need to do this more often! Spa days sounds so amazing … Oh .. and a massage. One day.

[2018] 286/365: Dim Sum with the Fam

Cemetery with the family then dim sum in the morning. Then it was back home and laying in bed with Rizzo.

Scruffy and I met up and ended up at Clancy’s. We shared fish and chips and are now chilling at his house.

[2018] 285/365: Meats for Days

Scruffy and I went to a super early dinner at Gyu. So many deliciousness overflowing our table mostly because I ordered incorrectly. Beef tongue is still my favourite though!

We walked around a couple shops before going to World of Beer. Hours pass by and it was finally time for A Star is Born. I’ve been wanting to watch this movie because there was going to be singing. It’s actually one of the best movies written even though it’s very sad. Don’t forget your tissues.

[2018] 284/365: Chorizo Taco

Sometimes you question your relationships, especially when it comes to those in the office. Are they being kind to you only because it’s the civil thing to do in the workplace or is it because they truly like you?

I was shocked this morning when little girl gave me one of her homemade tacos her mum made her. It warmed my heart (and my belly) that she’d offer one to me instead of another girl who she’s known for years.

I constantly question so many things in my head and with a simple act of kindness I’m given valadation and it all goes away. I know it’s a simple taco, but the simplest of things makes the world go round.
