[2018] 349/365: Give a Smile

This morning was SO relaxing. I haven’t had a morning like this in years. The whole house was to myself and it was just me and the pups. I enjoyed a cup of tea in front of the tree while watching a new Hong Kong drama.

If you have nothing else to give, give a smile.

Rocky decided to spend more time with me today and even jumped up on my bed and took a long, long nap. He hasn’t done that in a while and I guess Rizzo was feeling a little jealous that I was giving so much attention to Rocky that he decided to come out of the burrow of blankets so that I would pet him too. We don’t deserve such kind, loving hearts. Sigh …

I spent the day playing with the pups, laying around with the pups, drawing, playing the guitar, writing a new song, and watching my Hong Kong drama. I am finding myself again and it’s quite lovely getting so much time to myself. I know soon, I’d want to get out of the house again but for the time being, saving money is and added plus.

[2018] 347/365: Happy Hour

We don’t really do many happy hours so when Vicky invited me to dinner at Tejas Grill with her and her husband, Clayton, then Happy Hours with other people at his work I said yes without hesitation.

She ended up asking Salim and Kieran as well for the happy hour at Reserve 101 and they said yes! We sat talking about work and music and life and it was quite nice.

After a couple of old fashioned drinks and few hours later the boys and I said goodbye while the others went on to another happy hour. It was nice to get out of the office and just relax with a cold one in our hands.

[2018] 346/365: Building Christmas Party

How cute are these desserts? When two o’clock hit Noah, Joel, Salim and I went downstairs and grabbed our yummies.

I wasn’t a great fan of the hot chocolate. It definitely tasted like the package ones. I guess I’m classy and like real chocolate milk … Just kidding.

We headed upstairs and I dumbly thought we were going to eat at the kitchen and hang out so I sat down, then Salim, and the other two walked away. It was too late to get up so we talked about work things and went back to our desks.

I left work soon enough and headed to hang out with Mallory, JJ and John. She gave me my Christmas gift and we drank lots of wine, built JJ his hot wheels track and ate Chinese food.

I was supposed to meet Paola for drinks afterwards but due to her husband being sick we had to reschedule.

New things might be coming in my life so stayed tuned!

Houston Heights looks pretty peaceful. Maybe I’ll look into moving here when the time comes.

I was sitting in the car waiting for Ed so that we could walk in together. Since I haven’t been around for over a year and a half I felt weird walking into party groups by myself. Also, I took this picture because my eyelashes were pretty for once. #feelingmyself

[2018] 343/365: Farewell Party

I cannot believe I’ve known some of these boys for over fifteen years now. How time flies! We bid Ryan, Leslie and Brisket Farewell as they embark on a new journey together on the west coast. Safe travels and all the best! P.S. Polaroids are amazing.
