Christmas Cookies

2018 | 346/365 | Building Christmas Party and Talks

[2018] 346/365: Building Christmas Party

How cute are these desserts? When two o’clock hit Noah, Joel, Salim and I went downstairs and grabbed our yummies.

I wasn’t a great fan of the hot chocolate. It definitely tasted like the package ones. I guess I’m classy and like real chocolate milk … Just kidding.

We headed upstairs and I dumbly thought we were going to eat at the kitchen and hang out so I sat down, then Salim, and the other two walked away. It was too late to get up so we talked about work things and went back to our desks.

Mallory, Wine, and Chinese Food

I left work soon enough and headed to hang out with Mallory, JJ and John. She gave me my Christmas gift and we drank lots of wine, built JJ his hot wheels track and ate Chinese food.

I was supposed to meet Paola for drinks afterwards but due to her husband being sick we had to reschedule.

New things might be coming in my life so stayed tuned!

Farewell Party

December 9, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Houston Heights

Houston Heights looks pretty peaceful. Maybe I’ll look into moving here when the time comes.

Waiting for Ed

I was sitting in the car waiting for Ed so that we could walk in together. Since I haven’t been around for over a year and a half I felt weird walking into party groups by myself. Also, I took this picture because my eyelashes were pretty for once. #feelingmyself

2018 | 343/365 | Ryan, Leslie, Brisket Farewell

[2018] 343/365: Farewell Party

I cannot believe I’ve known some of these boys for over fifteen years now. How time flies! We bid Ryan, Leslie and Brisket Farewell as they embark on a new journey together on the west coast. Safe travels and all the best! P.S. Polaroids are amazing.

San Antonio Bound

December 8, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

McDonald's Coffee and Rainy Roadtrip

Some McDonald’s Coffee while San Antonio bound for a white elephant party. It was raining pretty much the whole way which is nothing new whenever I go to SA. This is also the first solo road trip I’ve made in over a year so I’m pretty proud of myself being able to belt out songs on the whole way there with no problems.

2018 | 342/365 | Patricia and Mellie Dee

[2018] 342/365: Hi Patricia!

Reunion with Patricia! We got to catch up and talk about everything which is always nice since we are so busy nowadays and not living in the same city doesn’t help.

Belated Birthday Gift from Patricia

She gave me my belated birthday gift! Thanks!! Can’t wait to wear them!!

Taqueria Data Point Mini Taquitos

I even got to grab some delicious mini taquitos from Data point Taqueria with Patricia and her family! It’s been a long time and definitely hit the spot.

New Nails and Curly Tails

Curly Tails and new nails! One of my nails dip colour part cracked and I figure I should get them done before it messes up my real nails. Smart thinking and I’m in love with this colour for the season.

2018 White Elephant Prep

White Elephant prepping and trying out some smooth Pure White Hennesy.

2018 White Elephant Wins

We went our rounds pretty quickly and I got two cookbooks that I’m actually pretty excited to read and try out!

2018 White Elephant Pictures Patricia Linda Shayla, Ricardo, Now, Tyler

Everyone at the party took photos and I was lucky that Patricia’s family was okay with me seventh wheeling in their pictures when it was their turn. Love them all with their welcoming and sarcastic love.

Oil Change

2018 | 340/365 | Oil Change

[2018] 340/365: Oil Change

I got to leave work at 2:30 pm today! It was a nice change but definitely didn’t make a difference since I was still stuck in traffic! I spent a good hour or so waiting to get an oil change. The guy that worked there tried to sell me all these services but broke me cannot be getting all that done at once.

They also give a free car wash for any services. It’s funny because it’s been raining all day so … What use is the car wash really?

The guy was very talkative, as before when I came in couple times before and after talking to him today I hope he takes those courses and start his realtor path for a happier, flexible life. Poor guy. He seems so put together and happy. Goes to show everyone has something going on with them so treat everyone with love and kindness!

One more day until the weekend! Eeek!

Coffee Break

December 5, 2018 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

2018 | 339/365 | Coffee Break

[2018] 339/365: Coffee Break

I was lucky enough to be shown how to use the fancy coffee machine like a real barrista today. One of my co-workers were nice enough to make me one as we talked about what had happened the day before.

It’scrazy to think that you could be gone without warning. I was blessed to be told way ahead of time at my old job so I cannot imagine these people who didn’t have an inkling.
