Popcorn Popcorn Everywhere!

September 25, 2011 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Slacker.

That’s me.

I’m trying to get my s***t straight.

So much stuff going on and so little time in a day.

Therefore Friday night, Saturday night, and tonight I’ve been studying, studying, and doing my school work like crazy!

I went to UTSA’s first ever Football Homecoming Game. They won! 54-7!! (I believe that’s the score.)

Then today I went and had football practice with FSA. I have the worst ankle brace tan. It was so sunny and hot outside, I got dizzy and even right now I don’t feel that great.

Anyway, you want to know what giveaway I won?

You want to know what’s in that box?

Thanks to Jenny from Picky Palate teaming up with West Bend, I won a popcorn machine!! I took a picture of it but I don’t know where my camera is at the moment.

So here’s just a picture of it.

I actually have not unpacked it and used it because I’ve been so busy but I can finally cross this off my bucket list. Is that sad? I have “own a popcorn machine” on my list.

But I can finally cross it off.

Jenny and I have been eating a lot of popcorn, and this just makes it so much easier! Popcorn 24/7!

Now it’s back to finding articles on Computer Graphics to write about then heading to play the soccer game with FTK even though I have the WORST headache.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

FSA Women’s Football

I received one of my giveaways today in the mail.

Well … more like in the front office because no way can this baby fit in the mailbox.

You excited to see what it is?

I’ll have to let you know later this weekend. I haven’t gotten a chance to open it up. I know what it is, but to you all, it’ll be a surprise.

Tonight I had my first FSA women’s football game for intermural sports! (I’m not playing co-rec this year.)

My team! And our Defense coach. Our Offense coach was out of town.

It was a good game. We played last year’s champions and this game they only made ONE touchdown. We were || this close to making our touchdown but … yeahh. Close game.

It was good for the first one and with most of the players being Freshmans.

Then I went and ate at some Mexican place with some of the team members and spectators. Then Wal-Mart because two of the girls I was with needed to buy toilet paper. It was nice having their company. I haven’t laughed that much in so long!

I’m going to lay down now. Nighty-night!

I Heart Sweat

September 21, 2011 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

It’s been so busy … school school school. Blah blah blah.

I took my test yesterday so I’m a little more free again.

So free, that last night I went to watch FSA’s football and soccer games and even got PHO with the friends.

I went home and got my mail!

Uhh … JackRabbit?! That only means one thing.

Thanks Ali from Ali on the Run!

For years, I’ve been saying I love the smell of sweat. Which is kind of the same thing as I love sweat, right? So perfect.

The material is so nice. And so is her handwriting. I wished I got a bigger size though cuz my boobs are kind of tight. But it still fits and it’s comfortable. That’s all that matters.

It’s another lazy Wednesday. I am tired and just want to do nothing for the rest of my life. Is that bad?

Playing Hooky

Mmm … OOIAJ is seriously back in my life.

Picture0279

See what’s behind me? Blankets and pillows. All Jenny’s. She’s still sleeping in the living room. I would too but for some reason, my bed keeps calling my name.Embarrassed smile

I have decided to not go to class today. That’s the reason for the glasses and gross hair. It’s just one class so … it shouldn’t matter, right?

I have decided it’ll be my catch up day. Read my chapters because there is just so much!

But right now, I’m watching 40 Most Shocking Breakups on VH1 and catching up on my Google Reader. I didn’t even know half of these people aren’t together anymore. Ridiculous.

I wish there were no divorces, like how it was back in the days. You are set with that person … forever. That’s probably the reason I’m afraid of commitment.

Whoops. Did I just say that to the world?

Chivalry Is Not Dead

September 13, 2011 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Do you hear that? It’s me crying.

This morning I checked Living Social as I do everyday (along with Groupon) and saw the deal for Whole Foods.

whole

I went to pull out my wallet but realized I forgot it back home! So I was like, you know, I can get this later.

Well I was wrong as wrong as can be. When I got home. This stared back at me.

I have lost my chance so now I am crying like a baby. Someone share with me?

********************************************

Last night before bed, I made me and Jenny OOIAJ. Well hers was more along the lines of OOIAC since she didn’t have a jar.

She’s never had it before so hopefully she liked what I made her. I would ask her but right now she’s sprawled on the couch taking a nap. If she doesn’t like it, at least I tried, eh?

For some reason, our apartment has been hot so we slept in the living room. Her on the couch and me on the floor. It’s kind of scary when you’re watching Ghost Whisperer. It’s super dark and you see shadows EVERYWHERE!

Sadly, when I did go to sleep on the floor, the carpet itched me terribly so I slept in my room, on my bed instead. I rather sweat then itch all over.

********************************************

Today the shuttles were crowded. So crowded that the bus driver couldn’t stop by the other two stops to pick people up.

There was this guy that was already sitting in his seat, looked up at me and said,

Do you want my seat?

I politely declined. And he made sure I was for sure okay with it.

Who does that nowadays?

No one really. It’s pretty much me, me, me. I want this and I want that.

So he made me see that not everyone are jerks. That there are some nice people around.

That chivalry is not dead.

I’m not saying that if you don’t give up your seat, you’re a jerk. But that there are people out there still that are gentlemen.

I’m old fashion. I like when a guy holds a door for me or say please and thank you. It’s polite. It’s what I learned growing up. But it seems to me, it’s dying.

Don’t worry men. I’m not only saying negatives about your race. It’s the same for women too.

I just wish the world was a better place. That people are polite.

I would love a knight in shining armor, please!

********************************************

Someone made me cry today. Like really cry. Not the kind of crying I did for Whole Foods. She was being rude to me always and I couldn’t take it anymore.

But I got free Pappasito’s from the CPE so I feel better now.

Time to study. I am so behind!
