Bleugh!

January 12, 2012 by Mellie Dee 2 Comments

Aw poop.

My sissy texted me today saying that she was reading a blog and saw something of mine and looked it up.

Now she knows my blog!

AHHHH! I have to censor everything I say now.

The last few days I’ve lost my appetite. I would only eat once a day. I’m falling back into that pattern which is horrible because I don’t want to go through that again. I’m pushing myself to eat but it just makes me feel all bleugh. Hopefully it’ll pass.

Tomorrow’s Friday! You all must be super excited! Open-mouthed smile

Rocks

Rocky got to sleep in my room the last few nights. He would climb onto my extra bed that’s in my room then into his own bed. He so cute! Smile

We dropped Rocky at the vet’s for his check up on Monday and on the way back it was flooding like crazy. The water pretty much came up to more than half my tires. Eep.

I’m such a safe driver that I can take pictures during a time like this …

A package came to my front steps! Rocky started sniffing it. Stinkin’ cute!

Michelle, Stephanie, and I met up last night and we got drinks. I got the Half and Half (Harp Lager and Guinness).

It was also bingo night. We got there for the last round = blackout. I was very excited. I’ve always wanted to play grown up bingo! I lost though … obviously.

I’ve been back to San Antonio as of 11:30am. I went to work on some FTK stuff until 7:30pm then hung out with Andrew C., Eric S., and a guy I just met, Paul. We had drinks and dinner at Flying Saucer then went and played pool. Teams of two … 3 out of 5. We = Andrew and I, lost. Of course. Anyone who’s ever on my team will lose …

Alcoholic

Yesterday, after lunch the parents, June, and I went to a liquor store that had their grand opening that morning.

2012-01-07 13.30.55

The design of their shop is pretty cool. I liked their cashier right in the middle. It kind of reminded me of Hong Kong jewelers.

2012-01-07 13.30.42

June and I picked out Japanese beer and Sake! Smile

While my dad went for the Remy Martin XO. I didn’t want to take out the bottle so I took a pic of the box. Winking smile It came with a free one as well (right). Sweet. I already claimed that one so maybe we’ll open that when I graduate or something.

2012-01-08 17.19.27

Dinner tonight was only June and I. We had hotpot while watching a movie. Don’t worry. We were no where near finishing ALL that food.

2012-01-08 17.23.31

We also took out our Japanese Beer and Sake. June got a little drunk … it was funny.

Time to Dance Central off all that food!

A Day of Family

January 7, 2012 by Mellie Dee 6 Comments

Today Sissy and Brett invited us to their place. Ross went back to his homeland for a few days and so they invited the family. The parents didn’t go though so it was only me and June.

We watched Super 8 while some food was cooking in the slow cooker. Plus it was only 3pm. I thought I would hate the movie but it was actually pretty interesting. I was holding a big glass of water and something popped up out of nowhere. I spilled it all over June and the couch and somehow missed myself …

We also played some kind of game called Move from the Playstation? Fun ish. Then dinner was served.

Brown rice with steamed mixed vegetables and slow cooker Asian chicken made my Brett.

Sissy made broccoli cheese soup. I added a little bit of saltines on top.

Mmm … everything was delicious!

2012-01-06 18.27.022012-01-06 18.28.22

Sissy also made dessert. Cake Batter Bars. YUM! Find the recipe and make this NOW! So good.

2012-01-06 19.23.37

Then we played the most confusing game ever. Phase10. My brother and I bought it for Brett for Christmas. He loves it. At the end we all understood the game. I’m happy to report, I won! Now I kind of want to buy the game but it’s hell trying to explain the game.

2012-01-06 23.08.33

I went home and had half a beer. The other half, I gave to my mum.

Yep our tree is still up. Winking smile

I was suppose to hang out with Michelle, Nicole, and Stephanie tonight but it was hard making the choice of staying with family or going to see my friends. I am hoping I will get to see them before I leave though. Here’s to hoping.

Back to watching Dance Academy. It’s on Netflix and it’s by Australian people! I love their accent and all the guys are pretty hot in their own way.

Think Good Thoughts

January 5, 2012 by Mellie Dee 2 Comments

I figured I would partake in the Thankful Things Thursday. Which some days will become Three Things Thursday. All depends on how I feel. Since it’s new to me I’ll just do the simple ones.

I am thankful for family. It’s getting harder and harder for all of us to be together so when we are, I cherish it. Every time I’m back here, I don’t want to leave. Sometimes we’ll fight or bicker, but I know in the end, we love each other even when we never utter that word to each other.

I am thankful for my friends. One of my New Year Resolution is to stay connected with the friends I’ve made and hopefully will make. Even though I don’t see or talk to them all the time, we can still hold a conversation. I hope they know I’m always here for them no matter what – even if we haven’t spoken in five years. Which has actually been a case.

I am thankful for Rocky. Every morning my family goes off to work and I will wake up finding him outside my door waiting for me. He’s always happy to see me and does not hesitate to give me wet kisses. He makes mornings not as lonely since he’ll just lay around wherever I am.

I am thankful for having readers. I blog about boring things and posts come out every once in a while during the school semesters. So to have any readers at all is still a surprise to me. I cannot wait to graduate so I have more time.

I am thankful that my family and friends understand my busy schedule. I’ve always been busy but with FTK stuff, I’ve been busier than ever. And I’m so happy they understand when I can’t come home and visit or I can’t go out and play with them. I’m thankful that they don’t get mad at me when I have to reschedule (which is a lot) and they still want to be my friend afterward. Which leads to …

I am thankful for Andrew C. I have been told to build a new FTK website and this winter break was my task at hand.  That and The FTK Blog. Andrew C. came out of nowhere and swooped in to save me. Okay I pretty much asked if he was willing to. Yes, coding is part of my major. But to do it all on my own is pretty much torture. Which leads to …

I am thankful the new FTK website and The FTK Blog is completed. There is still some work that is needed but to have it the gist of it completed, it just feels damn good.

I am thankful pita chips, bananas, and yogurt. It’s what’s been keeping me full when I’m hungry at night. They’re all gone now. Note to self: Go buy groceries!

I am thankful for fans. No, not screaming fans, though that would be pretty cool. It’s been fairly hot in my room the past few days but my Aunt gets cold easily so without fans, I would of already had a heatstroke.

I am thankful I have things to be thankful for. We live life unappreciative of things around us. I guess this is a good way to stop and “smell the flowers”.
