This is just in … Waco, Texas (my state) just had an explosion from a fertilizer plant. Many injured and so far 60-70 died. The world is going down. My heart goes to those affected. Currently watching the news and getting more information about the Boston Marathon Bombing. It’s so hard to watch all this stuff happening. They even expanded their news segment for the Waco explosion. *sigh*

It’s been a random day for me so I figure it was appropriate to have a random post.

• For me to have decent blog posts, I think I need to go to the coffee shop daily. And we all know that won’t ever happen. That can’t ever happen. I would go broke and probably get super addicted to coffee. Or die from caffeine overload. But in all seriousness, I am craving a caramel latte from Cloud Café.

• This manicure I got last Thursday afternoon is holding up very well seeing how I’ve been playing the guitar nonstop anytime I can. Just one tiny chip due to trying to peel off a stubborn sticker.

• Tomorrow I finally get to put some crawfish in my belly. A coworker from New Orleans is in town and he’s in charge of making it. Mmm … Cajun goodness. Nails will so be chipped by then.

I’ve been thinking about all the things I’m thankful for (not the usual Thursday). Figured with everything going on it’s necessary.

There’s a Dove “Real Beauty Sketches” Ad Campaign that I am loving. Here … watch it and love it.

What I got out of this video? Be thankful for the things you have than the things you don’t have. We might see the bad in us, but people see the good in us. That’s something we ALL have to remember. It’s hard but I hope one day it can be done so we can all be a little happier about our appearance. I know we all struggle with that.

P.S. Sissy & Brett are finally getting wedding plans figured out. Thank goodness. She definitely got the unorganized trait. Whirl-freaking-wind.

First, I find out a friend of mine’s Mum was hit by a drunk driver and has passed away. Then I find out about Boston. What is going on with the world?!

These people trained in the last year if not more and they were welcomed with such.

My heart goes out to those affected. I might sound selfish saying this but so far from what I know I’m thankful that none of my friends and their families are hurt physically because emotionally I’m sure it’s not the same.

When I told my Mum where I was for almost over 2 hours on Friday she said “Aw, how sad … you were there for 2 hours and NO ONE came up to you.” That’s her way of saying I’ll be single for life. Thanks, Mum.

Whatever. Coffee shops are for coffee and blogging. Obviously.

Mum gave me a shake of her head when I told her I was headed to the coffee shop to blog. Yes. I’ve become one of those people. Those people … what a joke. This would only be my second time doing this. Maybe after 50 or so times I can say I’m a regular coffee shop blogger.

Miss Co-Owner remembered who I am. So that was pretty awesome. She told me Open Mic Night was very successful to where they were opened til 11pm! Whoo! That’s amazing. I need to find a friend to check it out next time. Any takers?

Point of post: Feedly. My alternative to Google Reader. I’ve been using it for the past few days and though there are some glitches (possible user error) I love everything about it.

Internet dating is a possible future for me … since I can’t find anyone in a coffee shop.

The layout is cleaner than Google Reader. And I love that on the right side there’s a list of stuff In My Feedly. It does annoy me though that sometimes things aren’t in alphabetical order because they put the unread blogs on the top of the list. ANNOYS ME. But I can live with it.

Check it out. Love it like me. You won’t regret it.

I’m thankful I’ve never had to think about how much a car battery costs and just went and bought one when I needed it. A friend of mine had to get his car jumped every time he wanted to go somewhere because his battery died. I wish I could of helped him … but I felt I was bothering him instead. Glad he was finally able to get a new one.

I am NOT thankful to hear someone from my graduating high school class has passed away. We had way to many people in our school so I didn’t know him but the posts I see all over Facebook shows he was a good man. His family & friends are in my thoughts.

I am NOT thankful for these monthly headaches that won’t go away for a good few days. The pain is always in the same place. If I throw up, it goes away. I’m trying not to soooo we will see how it goes.
