Emma’s 3rd Birthday & Gilly

January 18, 2020 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Yummy Crawfish and Seafood with June

I went and picked up my metallic Deadpool from Box Lunch then headed off to lunch with June at Yummy Crawfish and Seafood. The place was packed! Our stomaches have definitely gotten smaller because we couldn’t even finished what we were sharing!

Emma's Third Birthday Party | Bounce House

I dropped June off and I headed to Wacko’s new house to celebrate Emma’s 3rd birthday. Nice decorations and a bounce house.

Emma's Third Birthday Party | Tacos and Soup

The best thing was of course the food. Beef, pork, and chicken tacos. They were LEGIT. And nachos and bean soup to seal it all up. I was hoping I could eat more but I couldn’t.

I left and headed to Mallory’s while they were still partying it up. We watched an episode or two of Dynasty and caught up.

Toro Sushi | Cypress, Texas | Gilly

Then I headed to Toro Sushi to meet up with Gilly. He puts sugar in his soy sauce! And nothing else. How crazy is that. This place was actually super delicious and we ended up talking for three hours about everything and nothing.

I’m back home now wishing the weekend wasn’t about to be over. Hoping this upcoming week will be a better one at work. Sigh.

Q1 2020 Team Away Day

January 9, 2020 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Q1 2020 Team Away Day | Snacks

I ran the first team away day of the year. I was nervous, flubbed a lot, but overall it went well. It’s also the reason I’ve been MIA this week. I’ve been working hard to put everything together and I’m glad everyone had a great time.

Q1 2020 Team Away Day | BATL Houston Heights

After our discussion on our 2020 goals, we headed to BATL Houston Heights for some axe throwing.

Q1 2020 Team Away Day | BATL Houston Heights | Food

We ordered burgers and pizza for lunch along with two alcoholic beverages. The food comes from next door while the drinks are there at the place which is pretty convenient. The pizza was great though I heard the burgers were meh.

Q1 2020 Team Away Day | BATL Houston Heights | Mellie Dee Axe Throwing

I got to throw big and small axes but overall I sucked horribly. Not so horrible that I was last place though!

I got to make shirts for everyone for this axe throwing event. I’m glad they turned out great and even the people who printed the shirts were surprised at how well and clean the design came out! So … I guess I do shirts that can be sent to the printers now. Hit me up!

Jacob in Bouncer

We left early and some went to happy hour. I went over to Mallory’s and came in seeing this bundle in his bouncer. He was a happy baby the whole time I was there!

Cafe Del Sol | Katy, Texas

we ordered food from Cafe Del Sol and got Door Dash to deliver. Their food is pretty delicious.

Mallory and I watched a few episodes of Dynasty before I left. And now it’s relaxing and then working from home tomorrow. Yippie!

The Mindy Project & Office Lady Podcast

January 4, 2020 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Red Truck Cafe | Plano, Texas

Breakfast of champions with Sissy, Mum and Dad at Red Truck Cafe. Food was pretty good. It has a homey feel to it and the service was terrific. I had to pack a lot of it to go as well.

Sissy and I drove back home in time for the Texan game. June came to pick me up and I’ve been relaxing, spending time cuddling Rizzo.

Last night Sissy and I binged on three episodes of The Mindy Project. I had watched the first episode and couldn’t get into it but it seems it’s funnier as you keep watching. I’ve been hooked and cannot stop. It reminds me of New Girl and The Office mixed together.

Speaking of The Office, there’s a podcast called Office Ladies. Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey rewatch every episode of the show and then comment on it. They give facts and background to the show. It’s hilarious. Sissy and I listened to the first episode together and then we went home and re-watched it. If you loved The Office, you should definitely go listen to it!

Finn and Emmy Meet

January 3, 2020 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

Deadpool Funkos

Woke up to Brudda telling me the 10 inch Deadpools were for my birthday this year to me replying it could be for two since there so many. He ran to his storage and pulled these small ones out to add to it. I’m going to bed more storage space until I move out!

Finn's Bedroom Wall

Finn’s room is now ready! I might just call him Ethan in here since we haven’t locked down a nickname for him. Do y’all like the wall decal? I took what brother sent me and changed it just a tad and cut it out and applied it. I’m open for business! Holler at me.

XO Coffee & Bistro | Plano, Texas

We dropped Sissy at the hair salon then Mum and I went to run some errands before going to XO Coffee and Bistro. Iced latte for me and a mocha and pastry for Mum. Then we walked around some local shops before Sissy was done.

Zero Degrees & Beard Papas | Plano, Texas

We stopped by Beard Papas and Zero Degrees to pick up lunch for the family. Beard Papas gave out free mugs since January 2nd was cream puff day which was pretty awesome.

Japanese Single Malt Whiskey

Emmy wanted to get out of the house so Sissy and I took her to Target. We went home and played with her for a while before Emmy finally got to meet Finn. I heard she was unsure first but warmed up quick.

Jenny and Le came over and Brudda opened the Single Malt Whiskey they brought from Japan. It was super smooth. We all hung out for a long while before we all headed off to bed.

Tomorrow we head home. Can’t wait to see Rizzo!!

Wall Decal Making

January 2, 2020 by Mellie Dee Leave a Comment

McDonalds Coffee & Kolaches

I slept super late last night photoshopping the wall decal for Finn’s bedroom wall. And my body alarm wouldn’t let me sleep past eight in the morning. Sissy got me some McDonald’s coffee and jalapeno Kolaches. They are huge and very tasty. I put the other one in the fridge for tomorrow. Hoping no one steals it!

Finn's Bedroom Wall Decal

I sat and cut out the wall decal designs for a good few hours while watching Gotham. Who needs wall decals? The vinyl is SO easy to weed. I’m very happy and finished earlier than I thought.

Sick Emmy

Brudda and I went to pick up Emmy to take her home. It pains me to see her so down but I guess it’s normal.

Emmy Colouring

We’ve been trying to put her to sleep since she’s gotten home. She’s been sick and haven’t gotten much shut eye. She kept us busy running around with her as Brudda and I tried putting up Finn’s wall decal.

Sweet But Hong Kong Milk Tea & Fat Ni BBQ Kebabs

She kept saying she wanted chicken so Brudda went and got Kebabs but she didn’t end up eating it. She went upstairs, peed, and fell asleep. Oh kids.

Brudda went and got me a Hong Kong Milk Tea and we are finishing up the wall while everyone is asleep. Maybe I’ll have a picture for y’all tomorrow.
