First, I find out a friend of mine’s Mum was hit by a drunk driver and has passed away. Then I find out about Boston. What is going on with the world?!
These people trained in the last year if not more and they were welcomed with such.
My heart goes out to those affected. I might sound selfish saying this but so far from what I know I’m thankful that none of my friends and their families are hurt physically because emotionally I’m sure it’s not the same.

I can’t imagine working so hard for something, and having it ripped away!! Those that were unable to finish I can just feel that pain. To hell with the people that did this, the light will overcome the dark!

agreed. I’ve heard some interviews were the runners were saying they saw the explosion thinking it was a celebration .. wasn’t til they heard the screams or saw it themselves have they figured out what had happened. so horrible …

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend’s mom- how devastating. I’m sending positive thoughts to you both. And I completely agree…it’s hard to comprehend what happened yesterday. But we can’t lose sight of love and compassion. We all were able to come together as one as a result of the tragedy and, despite everything else, that’s a beautiful thing.
