[2018] 249/365: Willie’s

Work went by slow but amazingly. I got so much work done and came up with a better way to do everything. I love that feeling.

I got home in record time and after awhile I heated up my leftovers while Scruffy cooked some of his leftovers and ended up burning his thumb so bad I had to go to the store and buy burn cream.

Then he ended up ordering food from Willie’s through UberEats. All was well again until the timer kept going up. The food didn’t show up until fourty five minutes after the allotted time in which his medium burger became cold to where he could get sick because it was raw and the fries and burger were both equally soggy. The milkshake was also watered down. From the map it seemed the lady stopped at the hospital the whole time and when she finally showed up, she kept apologizing.

Scruffy’s been on the phone with the service, mostly on hold. Then when he finally reached someone they sound like they’re crinkling paper on the other end and said you can call back and retell your story if you can hear me. Um … You have my number. That’s the first question you ask … UberEats you’re failing.

[2018] 248/365: Lunch and Learn

I strolled into work even though I wasn’t 100%. I had a lot of work to catch up on but was greeted with a Lunch and Learn. After a couple hours of it I called it quits and headed back to my desk and caught up with so much more work before heading home.

Scruffy and I ordered pho and watched a couple episodes of Kim’s Convenience and Kitchen Nightmares. I don’t understand how Scruffy can’t laugh like me for Kim’s Convenience. Sigh …

Now it’s time for bed because I’m pooped.

Does anyone know what to get for a three year old girl? I need ideas for a party come Saturday.

[2018] 247/365: Sick In Bed

I tried working from home but with eberything being down at work I was able to lay in bed most of the day. Luna and Rizzo stayed by my side most of the time. Luna usually left when she got ball time with Scruffy or if Rocky barked which was quite a lot.

Scruffy made some delicious fajita steak for dinner. He ate it like a taco while I opted to eat it like a steak. I drizzled cheese, bell pepper and onions, pico de Gallo, and spicy green sauce. So freaking delicious. We need to learn how to make that sauce if we ever live too far away.

A couple more Kitchen Nightmares before bed time. I’m not fully 100% but good enough to go back in the office. Sigh … I wished I had sick days.

[2018] 246/365: Home At Last

BIL did the honors in driving us home from Dallas. I stayed up enough to take my meds and knocked out. By the time I woke up, we were arriving at their house. Once they we’re dropped off we headed back to our own home where we did laundry and meal prepped.

Rizzo was happy to be home again and snuggled up in my blankets and took a nap.

Scruffy and Luna are over and I feel like it’s been forever. We enjoyed a couple of Kitchen Nightmares before I had to call it a night.

I called in sick for tomorrow since I still don’t feel well enough but I’m hoping come Wednesday I’ll be much better to go in. Although I won’t be going into the office I’m still going to do a a few hours of work from home. Hopefully it won’t wake Scruffy up though.
