I was running around like a headless chicken finding a place that notarizes I-9 forms for work. After a few attempts and getting back so many nos, I headed over to Scruffy’s where we hung out for a bit before heading to lunch. We stopped by 85 Degree Bakery since the restaurant wasn’t opened yet and grabbed a handfuls of goodies, mostly for my parents … if Ashy doesn’t eat it all.
Once Kura Revolving Sushi opened we started to feast. Fifteen plates later, we got our little gift (sushi washi tape) and Scruffy scarfed another one before we called it quits.
After eating, I dropped Scruffy off at his house and stopped by the new job’s company to sign the I-9 form in front of them since I couldn’t find a place to notarize. After that I went and got my nails done at Venice Nail & Spa since Jamie and Ashy got me a gift card at Christmas time.
I went back to Scruffy’s, hung out a bit and after a few hours of trying to decide where to go for dinner. Scruffy wanted to treat me to celebrate finding a job and we ended up at The Rouxpour for a drink and some delicious oysters. The one with spinach, crab, and hollandaise oyster was our clear winner as well as the original with nothing on it. As Scruffy describes it, super buttery and easy to go down.
Few doors down was the The Sugar Refinery where we grabbed some Saloon Door Tasty AF, calamari, and an old fashioned.
Since a lot of places were closing, we went to HEB and picked up things for our main entree meal. I went for the seafood stuffed salmon and frozen Brussels sprouts while Scruffy opted to fry fries, corn dogs, and whatever else he could get his hands on since Mum gifted him a fryer.
I am now tired and ready to just lay down and relax.
