WARNING: there are eyeball pictures that can be a trigger for some towards the end.

Yesterday was the last day I wore my prescription glasses for a full day. I was surprised by how many compliments I got wearing them. I guess I’m still scarred by being made fun of when I was a kid.

This morning, June took me to see the wizard for new eyeballs. I signed my life away and swiped my cards to pay for everything.

After having much laughter with the nurse I went into the room and got my procedure done. They were nice enough to take pictures for me.

This is what you see on the monitors. How crazy is this?! You can see the flap they made too.

The whole procedure took 10 to 15 minutes. I really don’t even know because the Xanax made me so chill. All I remember is taking a picture with Dr. Kevin Merkley and walking out the door.

As we drove home we stopped and bought food but since I was woozy I ended up sleeping the whole time until 6pm. I had a long phone call with Delisha, ate dinner, and am already ready to go back to bed.
There is little discomfort but nothing too major. I do have to keep up with artificial tears constantly so it won’t dry up. The other drops I need to take are four times a day for a week. These do burn just a bit. I cannot wait for this to all be healed so i can live a life without contacts or glasses. Last time I remember that life was back in 1st grade.
