This weekend went by too fast. I accomplished … nothing in my mind. And this whole post is just to describe one whole day! I seriously cannot wait for March where I have NOTHING planned. There will probably be at least one birthday celebration but nothing too crazy like weddings and bachelorette parties and bridal parties and traveling.
Saturday, I waited for my cousin, Joanna, to come over. Her wedding is at the end of February and I think she just realized she has a lot she still has to do. She’s having pretty much 400 people come to her wedding and she needs place cards with table numbers so everyone knows where to go. That’s where I come in. I’ll be making them with my handy dandy Cricut. To stay with her theme, I’ll be making them in the shape of luggage! I also have to make a few different decorations for her. So much to do and hoping that I can finish in time. Yikes!
Then we went and did some other wedding errands before going off to the Indian place to get pieces for our saris. She’s marrying an Indian so other than a Chinese wedding and a Western wedding, they’ll be having an Indian one. Crazy, huh? But I’m excited to see how other ethnicities’ traditions are. Shall be fun!
It’s crazy how much there is to do for a wedding. Joanna’s taking a whole week off for the little things she has to do for the wedding. I’m not sure I would get engaged and married until almost one and a half years later or two. Michelle took time for her wedding planning (because she kind of had to with her fiancé in medical school) and it seems she’s much calmer because she has more time to plan things. Maybe I’ll take her route … if I ever find a dude dumb enough to pick me.
Later that night, I went and celebrated Zuco’s birthday. Little lady just turned 22. A few of the guys and her went paintballing. Sadly, I couldn’t make it but I made sure to get there for dinner and Midtown after. I’m not a big fan of Midtown. Crazy drunks everywhere and bad drivers. Yikes. Luckily we got there in one piece and back.
She’s the one I’ll be rooming with (along with her younger sister) for their brother’s wedding in Cancun! Supa excited!!!!
Here’s to a quick work week. 4 days. Yay!
