This week has been hell when it came to getting sleep. I probably got a total of two to three hours a night while continually waking up during those “sleeping hours”. Last night I slept less than two hours and was thankful for London and I’s different time zones. We texted while I surfed Reddit until I fell back asleep. Sadly the alarm rang ten minutes later and soon enough, I was out the door.
Work went by so fast since. I sat outside and worked with Erin and Joel while they ate their lunch. I left a little early to pick up Noah from my old job and headed to our usual spot, Jollibee, for a late lunch. The whole ride to there and while standing in the long line, I updated him about everything that’s been going on since I last saw him at the beginning of January.
Then he goes and talks about his stuff while we finished eating and while we drove to The Mad Potter. He painted an elephant mug for the girl he’s going to ask out Monday, and I painted a vase/cup type thing because I had no clue what to paint and it was one of the cheapest options.
We finally finished hours later. He kept asking for my artistic opinions on what to do with his elephant and it turned out super cute. There is even inscriptions on the inside which she will love! I just went the simple route and painted in the geometric shapes. Hopefully they come out okay. Mum or June can possible use it as flower pot!
Before taking him home, Noah treated us to Chick-fil-a ice creams. Did you guys know they have three different sizes? Same size cone but the swirl is either kids, small, or large. We both opted for the kids size and I cannot even imagine what the large would be like.
I dropped him off and although I had invites to some places, I declined. I did agree to thirty minutes of Switch play online with Mallory but my forgetfulness resulted in crushed plans due to an uncharged Switch. Whoops.
I’ve opted to work on some online training from a cloud-based software company instead of going out to party. My company will be using this and I’d like to get a jump start so I can get a better idea of what this can do for our team and start throwing out solutions to our issues. I could block out time every day to take these during work hours but it’s just been a bit too hectic so I’m trying to do them whenever I can.
If this is how I end up spending my three day weekend, I don’t think I’d mind one bit.
