Saturday:
Michelle and I finally got to catch up about life, work, and of course, her wedding! A possible 2015. Dress is picked though and it looks LOVELY on her. L-O-V-E-L-Y. We had a late lunch date for over two hours at:
Zoe’s Kitchen
2643 Commercial Center Blvd
Ste 300

Hummus with Pita Bread (Appetizer) – I wasn’t impressed with their hummus. It wasn’t grainy and perfectly smooth, but the taste wasn’t as flavorful as I’d hoped. The pita bread is pita bread. Nothing wrong there.
Grilled Vegetables (Side) – They probably made it with pats of butter on those bad boys … who knows. But whatever the case it was good. Is it worth the price for a size that small? No.
This place is like Panera Bread to me … but not as fancy. Will I come here again? Possibly. But do I love it enough to want to, probably not.
We said our goodbyes and I went home and took a glorious nap, waking up to a KitchenAid. YEP. You read that correctly. I am now an owner of a KitchenAid. Kenson and his parents got me one. I’ll let it sit in it’s box for a little bit until I can think of what to make.
We headed off to Katie’s for an early birthday celebration. A wonderful Tres Leche cake from Whole Foods filled our tummies. Super creamy frosting and moist layers of cake. Just how a tres leche should be. Too sweet for my non-sweet tooth.
Sunday:
Went shopping and lunch with Mallory and Samantha. Mallory loves anything with skulls and Samantha loves anything that is red, white, and blue.
After a few hours of fun at the mall, I went home to use my computer to find out … it’s broken. What the eff, right? This one is my NEW one too. The one I just bought in December. I figured out a way to fix it so hopefully it works. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
Monday:
I made a coconut cake and a devil’s food cake for a coworker’s birthday but …
Tuesday (Today)
… upon taking it to my car, the coconut cake fell out of my hands and shattered on the floor. Worst. Day. Ever.
Baker’s worst nightmare is either the baked goods tasting bad, or dropping the baked goods. I did just that. *sigh*
Super long post but that’s what happens when your laptop fails on you.
Happy Tuesday, y’all.

Oh my goodness…no! I can’t believe you dropped the cake! What a bummer. ): I’m always so afraid of that when I bake something- I’m a klutz. I’m sure the Devil’s Food cake was delicious though!
And best of luck with your computer! Mines been acting up lately too and I’m afraid it might be almost time for a new one…sorry, bank account.
