Yesterday we celebrated Mum’s birthday early, on Brudda’s birthday since he wasn’t here. We went to Duck & Bao. This has been on my list forever so I was very excited to try it and it met my expectations.
Well, other than the xiao long bao touching one another on some of them and the soup falling out. This is probably the best soup dumpling I’ve found near me. Lots of soup inside and pretty big sized. They just need to work on putting them further apart so they don’t stick.
June tried so hard not to bust hers she ended up dropping it in my cup of water.
We tried all the different xiao long boas, sea urchin one was my favourite. We even tried the extra-large one where you have to suck the soup out with a straw. It has truffles in it but it wasn’t my favourite one. I will come back here, possibly by myself, because it’s worth it and so close by.
Today, I met up with Edward and we took a walk at Terry Hershey Park for a good two and a half hours. We talked about a lot of random things. About life, personal, work, etc. I’ve always wanted to come to this park but never had a chance to so I’m happy I get to check this off my list. It’s way closer than I thought so I’ll probably be back with Rizzo or something one day.
Since I haven’t eaten all day, I stopped by Popeyes and picked up four spicy chicken sandwiches for everyone to try and an 8 piece mild chicken meal for Emmy since she cannot eat spicy yet. They all said it was pretty dang delicious and one even said it was better than Chickfila so … the verdict is in.
Three workdays until the weekend! Luckily, I get to work from home on Wednesday. Hopefully, Emmy won’t realize I’m home so I can work in peace.
