One of my friend’s sent this to me and my answer was “what’s not to like?!”, pretending to be like Joey loving the feet trifle. I don’t think I can say it enough that quarantine life is SO good to me – less stress for sure. Mostly because I can work from home and do not need to bother with the traffic. I think if I continued this and being able to see people when I want, it would be the perfect medium.
Anyway, this past week was my birthday week. And I don’t feel any bit different. Still a kid as you can tell from these pictures.
The only difference is that I’m starting to feel more like an adult, only because I have to put in my Individual Development Plan (IDP) and Talent Card into the HR system at work for the first time. I had to use a lot of brain cells to figure out what I want to do with my career. I hope I get to climb up some kind of ladder because boy am I getting old to be where I am right now.
This was my last picture at being 30. And the only picture I took of Rizzo this week. I look beat. It’s been hard to sleep but if I keep my job, I’m going to get me a whole new bed.
I took off work “early” on my day of birth. And we ordered Yummy Seafood and Oyster for dinner. The shirt Lily gave me was perfect for this occasion!
They had a deal going on where you buy 4 pounds and get 1 free and also every 2 pounds you get one free potato and corn. We ended up with sweet potato fries, 10 pounds of crawfish + 5 corn and potatoes, 2 dozen shrimps, and 5 clusters of snowcrab. They gave us an extra snowcrab for free!
We had a lot leftover for me to enjoy the next day as well.
June got me a birthday cheesecake and a fruit tart. I got to make two wishes this year. During this part of my celebration, we video called Brudda and Sissy so that both of their families can celebrate with me.
I’ve been receiving gifts all month but this week, other than my usual red envelopes, I got something from Wacko, Monica and Emma on the right. Amazon does some dang good packaging! I was joking to June that we need to put everything as a present so that we can collect those bags.
I also got some sweet earrings that reflect rainbows depending on how the light shines from June and a mug from Patricia.
I felt so much love this year. Phone calls, text messages, Facebook messages, Instagram messages. ALL the ways you can message, I got them all. But my favourite would have to be the video messages from Emmy, Katrina, and Jasmine. They all sang happy birthday to me in the sweetest way that I will forever cherish.
This weeks outside orders also includes Popeye’s, Black Pearl, Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodles, and Gong Cha. I applaud Ten Seconds for their innovative way of delivering food. The noodles stack on top of the soup and comes with a lid. This way, you know which one is exactly yours and you can eat right out of the bowl. AND the noodles won’t get soggy. Pho places and other noodle places need to learn!
Is there such a thing as too many beets? I ate three in one sitting because it was going bad and let me just say, my stomach was not a happy camper.
I also finally went and got myself chicken fingers and fish filets. These bring back memories. I’m glad I stuck with fish filet rather than fish fingers. They just wouldn’t have the same meatyness.
Has anyone created their Facebook avatar yet? They have better features than Bitmoji even though Facebook has more limited choices.
I found it hilarious that I’ve been living without pants on as much as I can and have funnily been wearing an oversize sweatshirt at times so seeing that was perfect!
I found some pictures and did some comparisons. The top one is Bitmoji and the bottom one is the Facebook avatar. How do you think I did? Ignore the fact my braid is on the wrong side! haha I don’t think I did too badly. I also realized I have no eyebrows with my hat on in the avatar.
