I had my first Big Brothers Big Sisters Zoom call with my new little, Cristina. It’s definitely weird doing it online but I’m just glad we finally connected and know what one another look like. Here’s to hoping for a good relationship!
I’ve still been cleaning my room and found one of my favourite presents that I’ve ever recieved. Hand made from Sissy. This picture is from our 2006 family trip taken right at a beach in Maine.
I’ve been feasting really well this week. Los Roberto’s tacos and a lot of shrimp boils because when the weather gets cool, the spices will keep you warm!
As usual, good eats equals lots of walks. I’ve hit 54 consecutive days of hitting the 10000 step goal. We’ve been missing the sunset and sunrise lately but I’m still thankful to be able to see ever since Mum found out she has cataracts and needs surgery.
Rizzo looks so chunky in this picture but he’s been gaining all muscles lately from all our walks and eats SO fast now to where he’ll try to steal Rocky’s! Oh how the tables have turned.
Today was a pretty relaxing day. Goodwill to donate some of June and Mum’s things and a stop at Corner Bakery for some coffee since Starbucks was busy up the wazoo.
I ordered a White Chocolate Mint Cold Brew. So sugary but worth it since it’s been a while.
Mum, June and I met Sissy at Tall Plants. I heard of this place when I worked at my previous job. A guy used to come for plant maintenance and we got to know each other. His family owns this place and after over a year, I finally made it to check it out. He was there too!
P.S. I really want a Christmas Tree like plant. They’re so cute!
I am now a plant owner. Sissy and I decided to get the same plant as sister plants. Mine is on the left, hers on the right. Mine will probably die real fast.
This is a Calathea Ornata also known as the Pinstripe. I gave my plant some things to look at. Fingers crossed he stays healthy! I’m afraid my sunny room will fill it’s colours. Eek.
Speaking of new things, I’ve practiced a total of three times and got down a lot of chords to where I can play songs and sing along. Now I just need to learn to play actual music rather than just chords but I’m proud of the muscle memory!
