Monday, February 11th
Erin and I’s King Cake pieces after a stressful Monday.
I forgot to save my picture but I went to Mallory’s after work and we had wine and ate heart shaped ravioli with pesto. It was much needed after a crazy-like weekend of mixed emotions.
Tuesday, February 12th
Christopher, Erin and I blocked off the day and worked in a huddle room. We took a walk at work’s walking trail and it was actually pretty nice. I just wished they grew more trees because it’s very bare.
I went and picked up my Girl Scout cookies as well. I’m not sure what I’m doing with them yet. I wish they sold smaller boxes as I can never finish them and get sick of them fairly quickly.
Wednesday, February 13th
Erin and I worked late but I didn’t mind much since we did get what we set out to do complete. Plus having this view is pretty nice.
I came home to a Valentine’s Day present to myself. A 400 GB SD card for my Nintendo Switch. I figure I will download games that are crazy cheap than the physical copies or if I already know I would love it and play it a lot. I ventured to the store and downloaded Diablo III (on sale!!!) and Puyo Puyo Tetris. I’ve been playing non-stop and in love.

This is why people are usually heavier in the corporate world. This isn’t even half of it! Bigger corporations do have people that are more into the holidays which is nice when you need a pick me up.
Christopher, Erin, and I went on a crawfish dinner at my favourite location, Cravin’ Cajun! I even ordered some to go for my family.
I put this picture up on Instagram and a lot of people asked who I was on a date with. Fail times 1000. But I’m starting to not care about what others think because those who cared would ask, right?
Friday, February 15th
In the morning, I got a jarring text from Christopher that a car in the work parking garage was on fire! He didn’t have any details so I was worried it was mine. Luckily we were able to move our cars to a different garage after a few hours later. We still haven’t heard what had happened but it’s scary nonetheless.
Saturday, February 16th
I woke up bright and early, headed over to Mallory’s. We, along with John and JJ, and met up with Madison and her three girls to watch the Katy Rodeo Parade. It was freezing cold, the girls were all complaining but when the people starting throwing candy, they soon forgot all about it. Afterward, we picked up Chickfila and I spent a good few hours with Mallory playing Nintendo Switch.
I went home, took a nap, and headed to Ed’s. He was spending the weekend at his parents so that meant the thirty minute drive to his place turned out to be a nine minute drive to his parents. He was dog-sitting Henry and we ordered Buffalo Wild Wings while catching up and mostly talking about boys and girls and watching Iron Chef re-runs.
This whole week has been filled with some of my favourite people which was much needed. I’m hoping work dies down and I can get back to the swing of things like I used to.
The whole reading twelve books this year feels shot as I’ve read none. But today I was able to work out so I feel accomplished enough for now.
I hope everyone’s week/weekend was as eventful as mine.
